My last weekday morning post for awhile, as I rejoin the working world on Monday. What else would it be?

Happy Friday everyone! I'm looking forward to an eventful weekend: my daughter's birthday and a beerfest! Luckily they are on different days! Enjoying this beer for the first time. I swear there is some beer in there! This has more head than any beer I have had in the recent past. Cheers!

Next up is one that I have been wanting to try for quite some time. Cuvee Delphine from De Struise. This is the 2012 vintage of Black Albert aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels. Enjoying this and the beautiful sunny afternoon in Freiburg. Cheers!

It's pretty good, but a bit too bitter for me.

Up next is one of my all time favorite blended lambics. Armand & Gaston from 3F is spectacular. Cheers all.

To your health. I saw you yesterday but im counting down the days for you to get large again....

Cascade, centennial and CTZ hops i believe. Just what i needed. Straight up bitter pine and orange. As i drink it and the bitterness becomes numbed, a lot of lemon peel is coming through. Very pleased. Wishi had more. Cheers.

    Thanks to @Buck89 I have this on hand . . .

Hazy light yellow color with white cap.

A light aroma with elements of richness, some melon, lemongrass (I'll join the pack here), something that manages to be both floral and earthy at the same time. Also an old leather note but all these scents are clean.

Taste on entry is refreshingly tart which is to say announce the presence but not shout loud enough to scare the children. By mid palate the slight melon I nosed earlier has turned into more of a musk melon with the herbalness of leaves and stems thrown in as well. An overall sense of flavors more fruity than vegetal but the whole thing comes across as bone dry so it lacks any fruit sweetness. What I don't taste is malt but I'm not really missing it. Clean finish with a bit of tart bitterness lingering in the aftertaste.

Light to medium texture with balancing carbonation.

An American Geuze without the throat stripping astringency of some Europeans versions. I wouldn't call it mild, it is tart, but it's an embraceable tartness that still walks on the wild side.

Yes, it's not beer, but, hey, hops! And the shield logo looks similar to North Peak Brewing's so...

Smells and tastes like a peach cream soda, but the burps and aftertaste are classically floral and piney.
