hopefully some of the locals who didn't get the presale will be able to score the bottles that are left over whenever they release them. I won't even bother since I got a presale. hoping it shows up on tap as well!

Anyone thinking we get some new cans this weekend? Been a little while and when better to release them then while people will already be there to pick up bottles?!

Dems da breaks. Than I would have had my hopes up until the results were sent out. Likely the chances would have gone down as people would have than had the opportunity to get their entire group of friends/family to enter for them as well changing the odds around. No perfect way to do it. I always get the bottles when they do the silent releases but that definitely screws over a lot of people and its also a pain in the ass dropping everything to get up there asap on those days! I'm good with how it happened! If I end up with a bottle down the line GREAT! If I don't there is other beer to drink.

    that's not how it works.

If it was a lottery open between 12noon-1 there would have been a hell of a lot more sign ups and his chance to win would certainly not have been 50%. Consider people signing up using addresses/names of family and friends in hopes to get them to pick up the beer.

I am actually surprised that they did not require the name/billing of the credit card to match the person who the tickets belong to.

Also only allowing 1 cc payment.

I know bottle logic does this, and it seems to cut down on some of the mules picking up for those who win multiple allotments.

    Which release was that?

Would there? Do we have the numbers of unique visitors attempting to purchase at 12.00 yesterday? Do we know the number of visitors from previous Kane lotteries? Do we know the number of visitors from previous Kane pre-sales? It's all conjecture.

if it was recent prob going to say either Morning Bell, Sunday Brunch, or Morning Bell/Evening Bell BA. They all were gone by that time if memory serves correct

It's just beer FFS! I missed out this time, instead of bitching I'm going to simply enjoy a different brew.

What's with the 5th degree? We get that you missed out but you need to let it go...

or take it to private messaging.

The solution to all this is just drinking what you have and to stop chasing beers like they have some merit or value system. Whatever happened to the answer of the question what's your favorite beer? "The one in drinking right now." I've kind of went back to that outlook and man, life is good.

    .....

Are you serious? Are you really trying to argue that less people would sign up for a lottery that is open for an hour than having to commit to paying $80 at 12? How many people got shut out at 12:01 or later that would have been able to enter the lottery?

Previous sign ups from past releases are almost irrelevant. We all know Kane demand is growing year over year, especially since they started the frequent sticker can IPA releases. So historic information cannot be accurately applied in this scenario

So I got the BBA morning and evening - mainly because i had committed to going on a Saturday where I had nothing going on, to replenish my stock of HH/OH/SB. Just so happens on my way there they announced those beers. Though they were out of OH. So maybe I got knocked out twice?!

I got shut out of DDH Sneakbox. Apparently this was a result of people lining up for SB speculation.they were also out of OH. I'm truly missing out on OH cans.

To Kane's credit that was a smaller run. But it still meets the criteria in the 5th degree I'm getting.

Like I have said more than a few times, you are never going to have a situation where everyone is pleased everytime. I happen to have gotten almost every release this year, except for the ANTEAD lottery, but I did get some of the extras. I live close enough that I can see a post Sat AM or at Noon and shoot right over to get it or I usually know someone there who is willing to share.

this, I used to frequent OH on Sat AMs just to get a 4 pack of this or that and try it, but that got wayyyy to crazy for me to even care, I haven't been there since like Jan or Feb of this year. Kane is prob my fav brewery, at least in NJ and I live close enough I can usually get what they release but if I missed it I wouldn't care, its only beer

    @bryantc3

Sorry I've upset you. I was just wondering what release the poster missed out on since he/she didn't mention it. I know intonation is impossible to read on the internet but I'm just asking questions in a community discussion forum. I'll hold back after today since I'm doing it wrong.

And I purchased a set so I'd prefer not to let go of anything.

They did this to help with parking problems but to be honest it seemed just as packed at open as usual with a big releases despite the 2 day pickup window. Hopefully they get it all figured out.

It was packed, but it wasn't Sunday Brunch packed. I was surprised at how packed it was for 3 PM with the cars, it's as if everyone went in one car each.
