Was just curious where you saw this info... in WF, or somewhere online? I looked online a few places to see if there were any details but didn't see anything. I haven't been in WF for a few weeks even though I drive past it all the time.

Are they doing a tap takeover type thing in the pizza/food area? Do you know what beers they'll have yet?

As it happens, I saw Ichiro hit his homer yesterday. A pleasant distraction from the current state of The Birds on a Bat. When next I get a chance to use my laptop, instead of this pocket komputater, and my fingers can moar freely roam, I would most enjoy discussing the Madagascarian situation. Typing this whilst consuming a Gruff IPA 007, as I await my impending return to work. "The Season" is upon me.

Got my eye on 3 Ton up the hill from me. After payday next week, it could well happen.

Made a day trip yesterday, hit up the Camano Island outpost of Naked City, Ale Spike in Stanwood, Silvana Meats, Skookum, and Whitewall (who are now open on Wednesdays). Skookum was brewing a collab with 3 Magnets while we were there. And their taplist was awesome. If you like American Orange Ales, you need to get there. Sadly no more Barren Wood until December, but, we slogged through anyway.

Barren Wood can still be found in quieter shops in the Seattle area - I grabbed two more on Wednesday. The 3Mags location brewed canned version of that beer is being released at Chucks 85th on Saturday ('Skookum Puffs' - uses puffed rice) and cans at each of the breweries on Sunday.

    So, on our way home from the Everett Fest on Sunday, my boss asks if there's anywhere I'd like to stop. Well, I say, I never pass up a chance to stop at Skookum. Turns out my favorite food truck was there, favorite only because of name: Stick it or Stuff it, you choose. Pick your choice of meat; on a stick, or stuffed into bread. Anywhooo;

As usual, their taplist was stunning. Even the American Orange Ales I tried (hullo Zebras and Butterflies!) were great. Now, I'll never admit to what I'm about to say. Got to try a sample of a 2+ year, barrel aged Peach/Brett beer, that is a couple months away from bottling, and then, another 5-6 months of bottle conditioning.

Uh, if I don't buy it all, y'all want to get what I don't.

Seriously, not sure who the best brewery in the state is: Skookum or Wander. Will do more research, and report back.

Fremont > Skookum > everyone else. Had Skookum's BCP beer last night, Skookum If Ya Got Em. Insanely good. A lock for my top 10 of the year.

In Washington State, I'd personally say it goes back & forth between Skookum, Structures, & possibly Urban Family as my favorites.

Absolutely love the vibe at Skookum and the tatted employee with 12 inch beard (always forget his name).

It's funny because if you refer to any Skookum beers as "NE Style", they will quickly educate you on the fact Skookum has been producing hazy juicier style beers for years. Not sure how accurate that is, but it's their story

Structures can seem a little gruff with folks, but they are pretty cool.

Yeah, they can be a bit "distant", at times, but, I've found the owners, and most of the staff to be very open and welcoming. Well, as long as one is not acting like a dick (which I'm sure you weren't), they do seem to have a low dickhead tolerance, which I appreciate.

Oh no, I would never act rude or disrespectful to any service employee. It's very rare to find someone who works or had worked in a service industry type job that would do this. On the flip side, you tend to quickly notice service issues at brewery's, pubs, bars, coffee shops, etc.

I made the mistake of pre-judging Cloudburst based on their early social media feeds. Those are some cool dudes expressing a witty sense of humor.

Ha, Angel! What a name for what some might consider an intimating looking dude!

    Or maybe "intimidating"?

Funny thing is, while Angel may seem intimidating, to some, at first glance, once ya start chatting with him, ya do feel a certain level of intimate.:sunglasses:

Was fortunate to pick this one up on the way home from work. Nice sweetness balanced out with some coffee bitterness. Very creamy...almost lactose like. At 10.5% very drinkable!

Barren Wood should be about ready for the year too. That gives me the happy.

    Yup, and it's delicious.

Haven't had an opportunity to pick up the BA Breakfast Stout bottles, but definitely looking forward to that.
