Saint Errant Brewing

Hoping Expanding Symmetry hits distro today.

Strange Loops was rock solid and Tepoztecatl was amazing. Very excited to see more from these guys!

 

Beer Cellar did have bottles and samples (no draft) of Expanding Symmetry and Tepoztecatl. Missed the bottles of the Stout but got the DDH and enjoyed a sample pour of the Stout again

 

Jim's got some bottles. Cracked one open last night. It was very very good. Probably gonna grab another bottle today.

 

Binny's Grand had a few cases of Expanding Symmetry on the floor and a few bottles of Strange Loops on the shelf. Mikerphone Disco Lemonade and Mountain Misty Hop on the floor and Kettle Supastar on the shelf. Maybe one other I'm forgetting. All as of about 1pm today.

 

ES is real nice. Finish might be tad bit long & green but that might be nitpicking. Great beer.

 

If there ever was a place for nit-picking, this is it!!

 

Also picked up a bottle of Expanding Symmetry. Really impressed.
These guys have been doing great stuff lately. Really hyped for this brewery.

 

Met the brewer at Corridor, just wish it was easier to get to (for folks without wheels) on mass transit. Hmmm....

 

RIGHT off the Brown Line? Seems very accessible to me...

 

You mean to get to Corridor or you mean to get out to Mikerphone where the Saint Errant stuff is brewed at?

 

I meant out to Mikerphone. Tough for us stuck on public transit. Some day!

 

I can see why my quick jotting was confusing. I met the St. Errant brewer at Corridor (happened to be there himself). That's what I meant.

 

Yea, I hear you. I don't have a car here either and thus haven't made it out to Mikerphone, More, or any of the burb stuff.

Anyway if you are looking for Saint Errant in the city, Binny's on Grand (in the River Northish area) had a pretty large amount of Expanding Symmetry and a handful of Strange Loops out on the floor mid weekish. Both are quite good. Might be worth giving a call over there to see if they still have it in stock.

You might want to ask someone there about Strange Loops. Was a bit hard to spot for me, I couldn't find it until I asked, but it's on the shelf kind of near the Hubbard's Cave stuff.

Expanding Symmetry is sitting out in cases next to the Mikerphone stuff.

Was over at Corridor today and got to meet Brent for the first time. He had a bottle of Basic Set that he opened and I got to have a taste and yes that was a pretty solid offering for the first beer I have ever had from them.

Getting off work in a half an hour and heading over for another taste. He rattled off the Hop profile but for the life of me I can't remember it now, hope he printed on the label. LOL

 

Basic Set is good but with more bitterness than their other brews or most Mikerphone ones. Think of it more like a Hubbard's Cave type of hazy beer but with the regular IPA alcohol
