If anyone has been wanting to try the B&B's bigger/rarer items, they're almost always available at the fest and at the pub over the weekend.

Seems like wherever Bull/Bush goes, they kill it. Always a great line up

Like Legend of the Liquid Brain and Royal Oil? One of the things about Denver that I certainly miss. The Bull and Bush. Great little pub.

Very possibly. The Brain being the more likely of the two. I'm not sure how much Royal Oil is left and there has only been one recent batch of it.
In addition to those, there's a shot they'll be pouring the various CBC's and other BA beers like Pimp My Rye, Dutch Gus, Tank Town, etc.
I dunno specifically what they'll have, but I'd bank on at least one of those items being around if not more.

As others have mentioned, go after your "must haves" right off the bat. That way you'll be sure they don't run out, likely have shorter lines, and plus your palette is still fresh. I wouldn't worry too much about the lines though - I've found that GABF has their systems down so well that long lines move pretty quickly. I just grab a pour from a neighboring booth to sip while in line. I've waited in some of the long lines for special releases, such as Fundamental Observation last year, and found it a good opportunity to catch my breath and down some water for a few minutes before getting an amazing beer.

That's no lie. The hoppy beers really trash the palate, and so does being drunk.
On another note, does the GABF app go into special tasting times ie utopias?

If you have anything subtle you want to try, do it early. You aren't going to get anything from a Vienna, pils, wit, blonde, or many mixed fermentation beers after you've pounded a taco spice and durian stout.

If you all didn't see on Facebook yet, Weldwerks announced the Medianoche bottle release. 105$ ticket (after fees) gets you 2 bottles of regular, and 1 coconut/vanilla/cacao variant.

Works out to 35$ per bottle. Was hoping it wouldn't be that much. That is pretty steep. However, the medianoche beers have been some of the best BBA stouts i've ever had, so it is definitely worth it if one has that sort of money to throw at them.

    Thoughts?

This will be my first release since I moved here... Assuming this is going to be one of those "refreshing the screen at 3:59 PM" type of situations?

Also, is the price significantly higher than previous releases? I've never tasted it before, let alone had a bottle, so I'm probably gonna try to get it anyway -- was just curious.

Talking about Weldwerks? I've never had the bottled medianoche variants from last year, but the 10/12/14 month draft versions were incredible and definitely worth seeking out. At $35 a bottle and my limited budget it will be hard to convince myself it is worth it come Sunday. And yes I'd imagine it will be nuts online.

Since this post started with the topic of "cool sightings" of out of distro breweries dropping product for GABF, I'll mention that I saw Ale Apothecary (for those in the the mood to drop $35+ per bottle), Rhinegeist , MadTree, and a plum gose from Two Roads show up at Davidsons yesterday. Keep an eye out around town if interested.

Anyone had insight into Rhinegeist or Madtree? Good breweries? Any must try beers?

I saw a couple mentions of Surly - are folks interested in bottles/cans? I'll be at the Saturday session, and coming in to town on Friday evening/leaving Sunday morning. I don't know how difficult it's going to be, arranging meet-ups and stuff (on that note - how's the T-mobile reception?), but I can bring a bunch of 2016 Darkness, cans of whatever, etc.

I can also probably grab bottles of Toppling Goliath stuff, New Glarus fruits, whatnot.

Not even sure where I'm staying yet, but hey, just throwing the offer out there!

Just an FYI, we will likely be getting another delivery from Surly this year hitting shelves. I don't see Darkness happening though.

T-Mobile's reception is just as bad as everything else here, so feel confident
