    That sadly is True, I've heard this from the Monkish crew, including Henry himself who BTW cannot stand it, hence the allotments being drastically reduced over the last few months, the same lot lizards gather daily around 1:45 PM waiting for a IG notification, truth be told it's the same 100+ or so people that account for 80% of all can releases. With the proliferation of this style and so many breweries dialing it in, the secondary market IS going to dry up and these poor losers are going to have to get real jobs instead of gauging suckers for Monkish cans to pay their bills.

    Cheers,

    I sure hope so. I think though that there will always be a group of people willing to pay top dollar for Monkish, no matter how many breweries are nailing the style. I was on MBC the other day and saw that 4-packs of Foggiest Window were selling for $100 or more, and people were actually buying them. Makes sense to me in retrospect why I saw so many wives, girlfriends, and family members in line during the release a couple days ago. Seemed like well over half the people in the line were there just because they had dollar signs in their eyes.

    Your observation was spot on, mules upon mules to pay the bills, it's rather pathetic but we've seen this for over a year and a half.

    Cheers

    Awesome place. My great family who knows I like good beer ended up taking me for a hour and a half earlier today and I gotta say, damn.

    Awesome crowd, not too packed, good music, friendly staff, great fucking beer. Tried all 3 of the DIPAs (relax your mind, 21 & Lewis and piece of Sunshine, rym being my favorite) all of them were superb. Bought a t-shirt and then got surprised in the parking lot with a zip up hoodie which fits me perfectly. Great spot, awesome you guys get this on regular.

    No. I know what day it was but almost 99% of the time I'm going IPA over Belgian style. Really impressed by what I drank today.

    What case? So his preference is drinking IPAs, so what? We all drink what we prefer.

    Also, “Belgians”, not “Belgium’s”.

    Exactly, what an obnoxious ignorant post. If your going to "rest your case " please tell us why. The poor guy is obviously going through a tough time with his family and goes out to have a few beers of his preference and you take a shot at him ? Get over yourself. Ever hear of Beer ADVOCACY ????

    Cheers,

    This monocle beer is pretty solid. It's not hazy but I rest my case.

    Wow. Haha, had no idea what was going on in here. Why am I supposed to drink something I'm not in the mood for? And, I was kinda brought here by total surprise. I had mentioned it to my uncle but had no idea (I didn't know where the fuck I was) until we pulled in the lot and saw the sign.
    @j47paco I like that idea

    There's this underlying sarcasm that people only go to Monkish for hazy IPAs. Not their original belgian-inspired beers, like Shadowboxing and such.

    Underlying sarcasm? Hardly. It's the complete truth. 95% of the people there on any given day weren't there when there was a No IPA sign proudly displayed.

    Where were they lurking before? Answer: nowhere. Most of the hipster mules never even liked beer
