Fremont BBA Dark Star 2017

    They gave out tickets at 4:45 and all were spoken for right away. I think everyone there by then that wanted one got one.

    They did well, great crew from Fremont including Matt and Matt showed up. Overall a well run event although having only one POS slowed things down a bit.

    Dark Star was as good as ever.

    I was at the BBADS release today, and I have to commend Fremont on how orderly and efficient it was. I got in line at 11:00, and had my bottles in hand in 40 minutes. I didn't witness any drinking in line, and there were very few people cutting the line. The three point of sale employees were top notch. And complimentary doughnuts! Thanks Fremont!

    I rolled in about 3pm and waited maybe 15 minutes in line (no complaints considering how busy it was), still had the vertical going but apparently the nitro keg blew very early. All 3 years were excellent as always.

    The guys at the bar said bottle sales were going much faster than expected and would be surprised if they were still around past early next week.

    I would assume so (it has in the past). Not sure when though (didn't see any at Beermongers yesterday and I was looking for it).

    Last year it was relatively easy to find I thought. (Saw it at Belmont Station, Beermongers, Arch Bridge and Tin Bucket). However, as Fremont BA stuff becomes increasingly more popular year after year, I suspect it's only going to be a matter of time before it's strictly allocated and very difficult to find around town.

    As luck would have it I am in town on business and planned on going to Fremont, lol and behold looks like my timing is good. I should be able to get a bottle or two and try it on tap tomorrow?

    Got my 2 bottles and it reminded me to that I should open a coffee version from 2016 that I still had in the cellar. Thankfully, it is still drinking extremely well and the coffee flavor is still strong.
