A bunch more out of distribution stuff arrived today: Arizona Wilderness, Beachwood, Rare Barrel, Half Acre, Jackie O's.

 

Will be my first time and getting super stoked. Will be in town tuesday and that list of events looks insane! If anyone sees a big haired Canadian around give me a shout, heading down alone and would be lovely to chat with fellow beer nerds.

 

It seems like they're keeping it a little bit on the DL, but Mercantile is hosting a beer dinner on Wednesday night featuring Trillium, SARA, and Russian River.

What are the best bottle shops in and around Denver that might have some new releases during GABF week?

I noticed some of the "crafty" breweries aren't on the list (i.e. Goose Island, Lagunitas, etc.), however, I still see some of the big boys like MillerCoors. Anyone know anything about this? Maybe they just decided to skip this year or it had something to do with non-craft breweries not being able to have end/sponsorship booths this year?

 

I just heard on the radio that today kicks off "Denver Craft beer week" which spans 9 days and contains over 260 beer-related events in the Denver metro area.

 

I seem to recall an article describing a potential falling out with some of the crafty guys and the BA. The article was referring to the absence of breckenridge from the list as they always poured at the show...

 

I was just going to say I didn't see Breckenridge either.

Yeah, none of AB's breweries are there this year. Including Wicked Weed and Goose Island. Maybe they have finally realized that they have pissed the Craft Beer people off so bad that it's not worth it. Actually, they probably just don't give a s&$t. I'm sure that Wicked Weed's line would have still been super long if they were there. I'm going to miss Coffee Bourbon County.
