Yes, hard to beat Sly Fox and Victory on quality lager prices. But neither packages a dark lager anymore.

I really miss the Sly Fox Dark Lager in cans.

Yeah, both that and Victory Dark Lager are listed as seasonal draft-only but I haven't seen them on tap anywhere in years - probably only at the brewpubs. And Weyerbacher discontinued Slam Dunkel.

I asked about the SF Dark Lager:

Yes, have some in the tanks now lagering. Likely out towards the end of October depending on how quickly the Oktoberfest runs out.

[IMG] The new double deuce dIPA is great, I would describe it as a lot like Send in the Clowns, without the nibs & such.

I love Send in the Clowns, so I'll be picking some of this up on Wednesday. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I didn't get a chance to try project fish stick, just took home cans of Meh, Deuce, & Distinctly Incorrect.

I'm going to try to head out to Stickman in Friday to pick up some cans to go. Any recommendations on their current can list of things that I shouldn't miss? IPA's or Belgians specifically. Thanks!

Had a chance to crack a can of Double Deuce last night. Really great take on the sweeter fruitier side of DIPAs.

Definitely a sweeter boozier DIPA. Pretty good for a more "traditional" style of DIPA.

Just announced Bourbon Barrel Yoga Pants, I remember liking the non barrel treated version a lot, will definitely try this.

How significant is the spice component? Like a typical "pumpkin" beer, or more subtle?

I remember it being more subtle, I assume after aging even more so as well but I don't know if they changed the recipe at all to account for that. Chances are I'll pick some up today or tomorrow and then have it with some other pumpkin beers in a couple weeks.

If you read the Instagram comments someone says about sourness, and Stickman responded it is sharpness from the Oak tannins, and that they test acid content in their beers to check for infection. So who knows.
