Awesome blonde ale! Flavors of big tart lemon, lime, juniper berry, coriander, tonic water, and some salt; with light wheat/cracker malts; herbal, floral, grass, and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate lime peel/spice bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very crisp, dry, and fairly sticky/acidic mouthfeel/finish. Highly refreshing stuff. They really nailed this idea. Super flavorful for 3.8%. One of my many go-to summer slammer beers this year; along with the Shorts Cake and Power of Love Shandy. Shorts is killing it with the fruit beer releases this year. Just reviewed the Soft Parade Shandy last week, and it joins the ranks of the others.

Nice pumpkin ale. They changed the ABV to 4.5% last year. Flavors of pumpkin, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, clove, and herbal spice earthiness. Balancing herbal bitterness and spiciness against sweetness on the finish. Medium bodied, with nice bready creaminess and some spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Fairly drying. Very pleasant, flavorful, and well balanced for the ABV; with a nice mouthfeel. Not the best Pumpkin ale I've had, but it's certainly better than I remember when I reviewed it. Will revisit again. Well made session brew. May have to redo the review. New Holland will always be one of my local favorites on many beers.

Excellent! Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins and increasing dryness, never astringent. Still not near Stormy level, but better than Thunder. In fact this tastes exactly like Thunder on hops according to my notes(with some slight differences). However: it has way more haze, less bitterness, and a bit more body. Definitely better overall. Hope they get these dialed in eventually. Still too bitter to really be a proper NEIPA, but I still love it. Has a very intensely vibrant and dank hop profile all over it. Just got some Torrent this afternoon. The next one in the series. We'll see how it stacks up. Nothing has matched the OG Stormy as of yet.

Awesome imperial red. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light toffee malt sweetness; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slight resins and increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly warming 8.8%, dangerously smooth. Glad I decided to revisit this, didin't get it last year. Just as great as I remember when I reviewed it 4 years ago. Juicy hops and balancing malts, without being overly sweet or bitter either way. I should have grabbed this a while ago(bottled in April). Glad this is basically a yearly seasonal now though. Will get again. It holds up really well.

I'm guessing this is 9/10 months old at this point, BA Rebellion stout by Sand City. Definitely a little watery, but otherwise....damn. Awesome.

Haha-scapegoat that yes, should've made the play, but...

There's actually a 30 for 30 (or similar) documentary paralleling that '86 series failure with the Bartman incident. Found it interesting.

Bartman got a World Series ring this year. Good for the Cubs.

Chilly out. Couple more weeks of Oktoberfests and I'll be ready for stouts and barleywines. This weizenbock is doing the trick just fine now, though.

Thought that a nice gesture. Little surprised he accepted, given how much he wanted to put it behind him (rightly so). But then again, it's a WS ring.

Funny how I felt a little twang of pain in that moment, though not nearly as much as my heart wrenched two days later (A-F'ing-B)

At a wedding on block island this weekend and decided not to be the guy who brings his own beer (might have stashed a little top shelf whiskey though)...anyway drank a bunch of Harpoon IPA at a beach bonfire last night and tonight drinking Sam octoberfest on tap and enjoying both immensely.

Good evening advocates!! Been a good day of college football and homework, now it's time for FIFA and beer!
Going with my normal for the past few weeks, starting with Dogfish Head Indian Brown right now, and will follow it with Left Coast Hop Juice.
Cheers Advocates and have a good Saturday night!!
