    Seriously. It was one of my favorites at Snally this year. One of the best Pale's I've ever had.

    Has anyone seen Ommegang's 20th Anniversary Ale around MoCo? Downtown Crown is out. May get some next week. Looking for anywhere else it's been seen recently.

    Magruders also had two Wakefield cans, the IPA and Globo takeover, a sweet stout with vanilla and coffee that tastes like old office coffee with powdered creamer.

    Not far away, Little Red Fox, not a beer place but an eatery, had two Grimm sours on shelf, Rainbow Dome and Blueberry Pop.

    It was probably Globo at Calvert too. All I could remember was that it was a milk/sweet stout.

    Tried 3 of those 4 Wakefield beers and the only one worth your time is the Peach Battlecat. Was unimpressed with the stout and the Green Monsta.

    I don’t understand why Wakefield gets so much hype. Even Miami Madness is just okay; it’s more fruit juice than beer. Some of the most consistently ugly labels, too.

    Fwiw, I think their fruited berliners (like Miami Madness) are absolutely phenomenal, but I can see why folks would think they're overrated given they do sit on that fruit juice/beer border. That said, I've been largely disappointed with their regular rotation of beers and things they put into distro. They seem to have gained a reputation based on their limited-release stuff and are maybe coasting on that.
