Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch creamy white head over a hazy light golden body with nice sticky lacing. Nose of, you guessed it, oranges! Also, tropical fruit aromas are present, as well. Taste of citrus with oranges at the forefront with a nice dry finish. Soft feel being a tad thin. Overall, this is one tasty beverage.

 

Had a few at a local bottle shop including Founders breakfast stout, but now I'm moving on to this...

I had planned to drink them on the ride down yesterday, but the friend that was driving was in his company car and thought it would be a bad idea, bull. Great finally meeting you in person.

Good evening, all! I was going to pour a proper Oktoberfest beer into this Amana Colonies Oktoberfest mug, but sometimes a DIPA is calling. (See what I did there? Of course you do.) I'm glad I don't have a case of these. Session DIPA? You betcha!

At the Outer Banks NC. Having a beer brewed by a small brewery in Manteo which is not far. Had some oysters, clams, and another mixed fried seafood coconut mix (not pictured). No greens in sight. Life is good.

 

Past Post. Just spent way too much money on way too many overpriced 1664’s and Leffe.

 

Last night, split this impressive beer with my wife...



And right now? Finally able to sit down at the virtual bar with all ya'alls and starting out with this one... and it's somethin' special!

 

Pick up a sixer of the latest Enjoy By the other day, and enjoying one now.

I know the recipe is supposed to be constant, but this batch tastes different to me. Not bad mind you, just different.

Stone Arch Vanilla Stout, 5% ABV, 42 IBU. Pours black and thin with a slight tan head. Nose is vanilla, but not picking up much on the taste other than a slight bitterness. OK mouthfeel due to a bit of carbonation burn, watery and not very smooth for an oatmeal stout. Overall very good.

 

It's been a bit of a mixed bag, but the last couple releases have been great...hoping it's a sign they've dialed in their recipes/processes.

 

Sorry I'm late. It's my daughter's actual birthday today, so we were out and about all over the place. No, the Frau and I would like to submit a couple of steins to the cause. Prost!
