    Kane Brewing: http://www.kanebrewing.com/

Address: 1750 Bloomsbury Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712
We are located behind the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center off Route 35.

Tap Room Hours: Thursday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Friday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 7 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 5 pm

Tours: Tours of the brewery are given at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Guided tours last approximately 15-20 minutes. Self-guided tours are continuously available during our Tour and Tasting hours. No charge

They DO NOT allow any tour buses, limousines, party groups, bachelor or bachelorette parties, etc. in the brewery for tours and tastings. We have limited space and do not have the staff to handle large unexpected groups even with a prior reservation.

Current Tap List: Facebook is updated before retail hours with current Tap List. Year round beers includes Head High, Overhead and Single Finn.

Growler Fills: Beer prices vary depending on style but range from $7-$20+. The cost of the growler is an additional $10 for one-liter, and $12 for two-liter. Yes, Kane fills growlers from other breweries as long as it has a government warning, labeled volume, and a Kane Brewing Co. sticker can be applied for regulatory compliance.

Can and Bottles Sales: Limited release 750ml bottles for sale at the brewery as well as cans. Check Facebook (must have Facebook account), Twitter, or Instagram for up to date list. Solitude, our 9.2% Belgian-style dark strong ale, will now be available at the brewery in 750ml bottles on an (almost) year-round basis.

They offer a few varieties of their beer to be purchased in sixtel (5.2 gallon kegs). In addition to the cost of the beer, there is a $30 cash deposit required for the keg that will be refunded upon its return.

Kids and Dogs: Minors are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets.

Stickying for the completely unnecessary new month thread.

After having had multiple cans now, I think I can safely say Mosaic Punch is my favorite sticker can they've done. Just an incredible beer

Lol, maybe I feel the same way about many of your posts. :stuck_out_tongue: Glad I was able to help you with your keg question for your party in the past...

Anyway, if you want to pm me, I'll forward the post with the reasons for the monthly thread. Or you can search for it yourself.

If you don't like my posts feel free to speak up, but that makes no sense. This isn't even about content it's about having to sticky a thread every month that doesn't have to be renewed in the first place.

Thank you for helping me with my keg question. That has nothing to do with the nonsensical idea to create new Kane and Carton thread's every month though.

I don't think its nonsensical, last year with ANTEAD approaching it was probably over 5 pages a month. But once a month is probably overkill.

Then I would suggest a Kane ANTEAD hype containment thread or something of the sort. Then you have 2 threads per year involving Kane instead of 12. And the excuse for Carton, which was 2 pages long?

I just read the explanation for September 2016. Don't agree with much of it. Like it's simple to look at the date something was posted in a big thread and realize it's not current. I'm not going to look through an annual Kane thread and be like holy shit ANTEAD is dropping today when a post is from September 2014 or something

I think it would make more sense to be seasonal. Condense 12 threads into 4.

The first post does undergo changes. People pm me suggestions like you did for the Carton thread which I added it this month. Other people too have given nearby food recommendations, like @mumbles44 , and I also add them. The first thread serves the purpose of getting accurate information about each brewery and being a resource for a visit. I have invited owners, brewers, and staff to join the discussion. They have and even have given me content for the first post in other threads, like Carton.

I was asked to do these monthly threads by fellow members and BA staff. It can be quite the chore but I have gotten quite a bit of thanks from people. It's much easier to read the first post of a thread when the thread is shorter, you know the information is accurate, and the frequently asked questions are addressed.

The first post is usually the most useful for the new or infrequent visitors to a brewery. The number of repeated questions go down for the frequent readers of a thread. Most people find that less annoying. However, the few people who find it too difficult to watch a thread each month or even pm me to discuss the issue, is really too much.

I've asked @Todd to delete this monthly thread and if he doesn't, I'll make a new permanent one next month without the first post. This should satisfy certain users (not directed at you, @Zonk ). I'm not really interested doing this thread quarterly or yearly, that defeats the purpose of information being updated regularly. Remember, I cannot edit the first post once it is written. Anyway, nobody reads the first post when the thread is too long and thread creation is too long ago.

Can a moderator or someone edit the first post after it's written? Seems over the top to not even have a first post at all, especially if we are doing yearly or quarterly threads

Nope. That is too much extra work for them and they are not paid. That's why the monthly thread. Anyway, you can't complain about it anymore.

Seems the thread was in agreement that monthly threads were excessive. I find the first post helpful but if it's missing 1 or 2 suggestions I don't think that's the end of the world and they can wait til the next quarter to be included. No reason to get rid of the first post altogether. Doesn't really make sense. But it's good to see most of the thread in agreement.

They should make you a mod so you an edit the first post. Would be much less work than making a new thread every month. Even an unpaid employee could do it

Are we running out of threads or something? Pretty soon Mid-Atlantic is going to have no new posts I guess!

Who cares? I'm not a fan of the monthly posts, but I can't think of a good reason NOT to do them and some people find it helpful. They win out.

Rather, let's crusade against the weekly, "Hey, I'm going to be in NYC next week, does your city have beer?" threads. Those are the ones that really grind my gears!

I also think monthly Kane threads are silly, but is it really worth all the back and forth posts? Jesus Christ people, is Monday really that boring for you?

Didn't mean to ruffle feathers or strike a nerve..you do a nice then and the first post is obviously useful to newbies

All the back and forth about whether the thread should be monthly has made the thread longer..

I like it. I am fairly regular visitor to kane and carton but still find it useful to have that new first post every month. Also helps keep the conversation fresh. So thanks.

Clearly in the minority, but I like the monthly thread. Thanks for keeping them going. It just has a neatness feel to it that I appreciate. I visit Magnify's thread often and it can be rather taxing to look for something you thought you saw, but can't remember when you saw it.
