Sad to see the apricot lambic is no longer on, but feed the cats is tasting mighty good. Pioneer Man is outstanding.

 

Went to Hpb during the day for once yesterday. Noticed staff drying glassware with a white dirty rag, I guess this explains why the head would flatten out quickly and no lacing in glass on any of the beers. It was a turn off honestly.

On a side note, Ba gjg was delicious! Too bad I only got one pour since it tappe out.

 

Back from the Herm. Food > dillas, belly tac & chic sam were all a hit. 4 thumbs ^. Beer > Throwback, Genius, Pioneer Man & "something" Ferment (pale ale). Growler fills > Genius 128oz & Pioneer 64oz. Love the Herm!

Speaking of Chinatown I rode by Friday night and peeked in one of the broken windows. I'm not sure when it's going to be open but I can't see it being ready by November which is the last thing I heard about 6 weeks ago. But, sometimes construction progress all of a sudden happens much faster than I expected. And I can't wait because I'm exactly one mile from their Chinatown location. Close enough that I can ride over and then stumble home if necessary.

 

Was surprised to see bagjg and gjg were same abv? I know they used old labels on the bottles, maybe was just easier to flub a few decimals of the abv on bagjg?

Yep. But I ordered the new Going Global tonight and I think the bartender who shall be unnamed switched mine with with another customer's Pioneer Man. Looking at HPB's Instagram photo of Going Global after I left is what tipped me off to the potential mistake. I'm going to have to go back over there tomorrow night to confirm. hahaha
