Anyone get Built to Spill from last week? My cans taste way more bitter and harsh than I remember and are clear with very little haze

I'm going to be in Burlington for the first time tomorrow, planning to hit this can release that I just found out about. Thanks!
Any body have any guidance on how early we need to get there to get cans?
40 cases is a pretty small release.
    Thanks.

Whoops - should have scrolled up first...

idk. I was there for the Orange Dot release this summer and it wasn't bad at all.

I'm thinking it'll be due to the Holiday weekend. Due to leaf peeping during a peak foliage weekend, there are a TON of tourists in Vermont. The bottle release, coupled with can release, and Holiday... good luck.

Go to frost instead. walk in have a few samples and grab cans without the lines or crowds Equally good ipas at a much more reasonable price.

I did and thought it was garbage. Getting on undrinkable.. Bad intro to foam, unfortunately.

*not intending to bash, just an honest assessment. Dfinitely want to get my hands on these new cans!

Yeah, but Frost hours are minimal and their taproom is so small.

Check Frost social media they have been open some longer hours. Last Friday I think they opened at 12, yes small
Taproom but located right between Burlington beer co and fiddlehead

Yes, I know where they are. Well, good for them that expanded their hours! That's a plus then!

Been reading through the thread and am going to be in Burlington from Friday - Saturday. Driving up from Albany in the morning on Friday. Looks like can releases on Fridays? If I get there in the afternoon on Friday, what's the likelihood that they are sold out of whatever they have?

@beertoro They would most likely be sold out by the afternoon but they’re not doing cans on the 13th as per an Instagram post from yesterday.

It still should be high on the priority list of places to go though.

Ah that sucks, but it definitely helps me plan my day out better then. I'll be staying in Burlington, so I'll probably leave Foam for later in the day. Thank you.

Well... Foam has officially reached "that point". The line to get a beer yesterday was out the door into the patio. I pulled in and simply left. Went to the Farmhouse with no wait and drank Difference and Repetition in the beer garden on a beautiful day.

The line was pretty light early on Saturday when I got there. Saturday night was a zoo.

has been like this on the weekend for a bit.
they need a better flow to their service and filling of pints/growlers. Crowds are about the only reason to skip Foam.

In other news, Foam won the 'best entrepreneurial business' from the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce last week. Todd gave a speech and man, do I wish I got it on video.

Picture a drunken farmer giving a rambling, expletive laden rant in front of 500 people in suits and it's like you were there. A+ execution by Todd.

As the football coach says, it is what it is. Burlington is too touristy, and the beer is too good. I will not be venturing there on weekends to wait in those lines. I'm not on vacation, and I have shit to do.
