Best place for lunch today? Hops and pie? Any morning delight left at lowdown?

Since the beer list is out what is on everyone's list of "must try" beers at GABF this year?

Not according to a tweet they sent out a couple of hours ago.

Personally I'd hit up Freshcraft and drink some Dreamland and Surette Reserva Palisade Peach.

Here's a friendly PSA to all the out-of-towners perusing this thread:

You absolutely need to try some Bierstadt beers, particularly their pilsner. They are not pouring at GABF, but you can find their stuff on tap around town and their brewery is not far from downtown. I personally think they are making some of the best beer in Colorado.

    Cheers!

Seconded! Although I would say that the helles and dunkel are just as high on the "must try" list as their fantastic pils.

If you have even the tiniest interest in lagers, they are an absolute can't miss in Denver. Further, they have by far the best crowler prices in town for the quality (like $5-7 per crowler).

Any recommendations for a sports bar for Cubs tomorrow night.

Tonight is probably the slowest night for events this week(end). However, Bierstadt is hosting a pro wrestling show that Melvin is putting together tonight. I believe it's $25 and includes 1 beer. Hacksaw Jim Dugan will be there as well. I've been to their wrestling events before and they're super fun. 21 and over so no annoying kids. Just drunk "adults" watching other "adults" wrestle. Good times for sure if that's your thing.
In Cheesman park there is Wymans which is the best Chicago bar in Denver but it's pretty small and fills up super fast. For tomorrow's game I would recommend getting there no later than 3:30-4 if you want a decent seat. They don't have a great tap list either. More of a local/neighborhood bar which I love. I always drink Old Stlye or Banquets when I'm there. Next best bar for a Chicago game is Tap 14/Hayters. Right across the street from Falling Rock on Blake St. Great rooftop bar with 70 taps. If the weather is shitty tomorrow the main bar downstairs usually has a handful of ok taps. That place will be packed as well but it's much larger than Wymans so you won't have to get there as early. That's where I plan on going right after work to meet some of my friends.

You can get tix outside the venue for less than face value from a scalper. Don't know what question you have about hotels but I don't know shit about them so doesn't matter anyway.

At Bell's, Blackbeard's Bear Hug was fantastic. I'd planned to get back in line for Expo(we don't get it in TX), but that BBH was on point, best beer I tried all night. I didn't hit all the booths I plan on, going back tomorrow for member session.

Lots of great non-Colorado stuff last night. King Sue was probably my favorite.

As for Colorado, I really liked New Image Paul and New Belgium Oscar aged in blackberry whiskey barrels. Also got a pour of the Avery/Odell collaboration from Doug Odell himself. Very cool.

Most consistently long line in the whole place seemed to be Weldwerks. The Melvin party bus was also quite the scene.

Also... once all you Thursday night attendees wake up, I'd be interested in some good new beers you tried. Going to GABF tonight.
