I think it has more to do with the fact that no one was particularly excited about any of today's beers. Let's not forget that DDH Double Citra Daydream and the Bellwoods collab sold out before noon last week.

Yeah, i think I mentioned before that the hype would be lower since all of these beers were released in the last few months

Seems like a lot of the linelyfe bros bail on OH whenever Hudson Valley has a release

That seems weird to me, but would explain the dudes shotgunning cans at Hudson Valley. Also no equilibrium release today.

    This.

Plus (let’s just keep this between us girls) apparently the trade/resale value for HVB is going through the roof

Was stacks pretty clear as well? I just got 4oz pours of Forever Simcoe and Stacks and they both don't look like the last time I had either. And neither are as good as previous batches which sucks.

I was up in Beacon at around 11:30 at HVB and the line was pretty long and it seemed there was a lot of buzz around their cans. The trade/resell hype is part of my point. HVB is brewing crazy good sour IPA's along with NEIPA's. Their can art is refreshing and not the same tired pattern of cartoon-ey vegetables.

The market is now fully saturated with OH style DDH IPA's all with the same #linelyfe aesthetic. If they continue to have consistency problems then they will be yesterday's news fairly quickly.

Damn. It was all good just a week ago.

OH has gone from the craft darling to pariah in a jiff according to this thread. Crazy. I wonder how much of this is the result of the more plentiful amounts OH is producing. It's too available now and thus not as enticing for trades. Kinda sad to hear.

OH should call a future beer that's available in double batches "More Monkey ***** For Me."

*High five to anyone that gets that reference

** Actually after writing that suggested name, it sounds like an Evil Twin beer.

I mean we'll see. Don't get me wrong they are still going to be ultra successful. It just might not be as crazy. Which I'm all for. Who knows. Tree House is still mobbed every weekday and they have not changed their model in a long time. But Tree Houses stouts are on another level than OH. If you are going to be one note, you better be sure to be one of the best at playing that note.

You guys are nuts. This was a weak release, 7 days after Citra Daydream sold out by 1115 and a good collab came out. Every week isn't going to have 4 sick beers. You got a collab that is meh, a 10+ percent beer, a mediocre single, and a re-run of daydream.

    They'll pick back up...

Yeah I'm sure they're going to have homerun releases in the near future. I just think we've seen peak (Monkish/Trill/OH) Collab #linelyfe status. The game has changed. EQ/HVB/Troon/Sand City have all ramped up. Not too mention plenty more. Grimm will also be opening up soon and what happens if theres a Grimm/OH/EQ/HVB/Sand City/LIC (wet dream) coinciding Saturday release. Other Half is inconvenient to get to, annoying place to wait in line and the BQE is the worst. They only really kill it with IPA's. They're at a disadvantage moving forward unless they adjust their model IMO.

This new reformulated AGE is awesome! Not really one to like triple IPAs but they've made it much more drinkable (scary). It's definitely not west coast style anymore, straight up fruity hop juice.

    Guys, just check the calendar...

It's Columbus Day weekend and that depresses can sales because people have other plans. No need for all the gloom and doom forecasts for the brewery's future.

At least OH isn't promoting beer cats on their IG feed.
