Back at you Jim. My dad, brother, and uncle were equally contented meeting you. You and @ONovoMexicano are the only 2 I have had the pleasure of spending time with. Really good time I might add. Like many here, I've had a fair share of contact via BA, text and email with @SammyJaxxxx , a noteworthy and generous BA of' sho'. And I'm waiting for a chance to show @cavedave around my neck of the woods...He says it may happen soon. I hope so.
So many of you that I'd like to meet here. One day, one day...

After a long day, I get to sit down and enjoy a new beer. And at that, it's a completely blind beer so I have no idea what it is. I have @bl00 to thank for this beer and a whole bunch of other beers from the Roadrunner vs Coyote BIG. Onto the beer review.

L: Not much head on my pour. Translucent yellow/orange. A lot of sediment and particles floating around in this one.

S: Smells of pine, grapefruit, and malt.

T: At first taste, it's light pine, grapefruit, and a hint of honey. Back end I get more citrus orange flavor with more grapefruit.

    M: Smooth

O: Overall a great IPA/DIPA. I'm leaning closer to DIPA but I have no idea what it is. 4.25[IMG]

Thanks to @Angerhaus for this one, from the BIF.

    New Glarus Hometown Blonde

Appearance - Crystal frickin clear, straw yellow. One finger head dissipates rather quickly.

Aroma - Very much a lager, aroma is of cereal grain, corn.

Mouthfeel - Crisp, clean but does longer a bit on the palette.

Flavor - Follows aroma, very typical but a well brewed pilsner.

Overall - Classic pilsner, pretty solid.

Finally home and able to join in the debauchery of blind beers from BIF #6, I've been waiting eagerly to tear into this one since the box from @Satch44 cracked the foundation on my entryway to the house.
Drove my sons up to Chattanooga last night to spend the day either Seeing Rock City or going to the Tennessee Aquarium depending on the weather. Thought I was going to get to sneak in a new one at a little brewpub we passed when we had lunch but with the rain we ate at a grille just outside the aquarium.
    Here she is.

Poured into my favorite coffee mug, GO DAWGS! Tried not to watch it pour but it yielded a dense looking white head.
Smells of citrus, more orange than grapefruit, pineapple, maybe a hint of mango. Catching a good bit of sweet maltiness too.
Taste follows orange, tropical, a bit piney from the hops that ride a sturdy malt backbone, bitter sweet finish.
Feels full bodied for the style which is definitely an IPA, more likely a double. Very slight alcohol presence. Overall a great beer.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't see a touch of pink and green swirl when opening the top and based on reviews I've read and knowing many of my wants were hit in this box I'm thinking it is Permanent Funeral.
    Opening the wrapper reveals.....

Thank you Ryan, another great one.

Port City Belgian Style Pale Ale brewed for Trader Joe's 50th Anniversary

Port City is pretty good in my eyes, but this one impressed me more than I was expecting. It's aroma suggests that this is a spiced beer, but perhaps the flavors are really yeast derived. This beer is wonderfully dry and there's a strong black pepper note throughout that contradicts the brightness of the aroma. Body is very light without being lacking. Earthy finish. At 5.3%, I find this beer agile and dangerously drinkable. For me, this one is WAY better than the heavy Tidings.

This is Omnipollo Schploing!! A mango s'mores IPA. I was reluctant to buy it at first, but it was the last one on the shelf and it's as close as I'll get to a Tired Hands milkshake IPA for the time being. It's still, thankfully, mostly an IPA, despite it's gimmicky marketing. Tons of tangerine, pineapple, mango, and peach notes. Crisp, crackery malt backbone. Slight creamy sweetness from the lactose and vanilla. Just the barest hint of salt to wake up the tastebuds.
This is really enjoyable. I don't regret buying it. I was turned off by its intention/marketing at first, (I mean, what the hell is a mango s'mores IPA, anyway???) but it turned out to simply be a delicious hoppy beer.

Let me know a time you are free after work, I'll bop down by train. Maybe you, @zid , and me can get together for some serious beer enjoyment, I'd purely love it. Of course you both are welcome at any of our tastings, which have been on hold for more than a year now due to our host at the Doom Saloon recovering from cancer (full recovery all is well) and the renovations on his house, which left everything from bottom floor stored in the out building that is the Doom Saloon (renovations completed this week).

I still think a regional get together for the NBS crew is a great idea. May take some planning but wouldn't it be fun to do? Maybe in summer as a camp out? Lotta time to plan for anyone else in the great Northeast who might be interested?.

Don't have to worry getting the boys up for school in the AM so thought I'd have one more from @Satch44

Poured a hazy orange with minimal head.
    Smell sweet, citrus, pineapple.
Tastes follows, citrus, pineapple, honey sweetness.
Feels smooth, medium carb, hop bitterness that balances the honey.
    Overall another tasty Pipeworks
    brew.

Ok, folks, it’s been a blast. Nice getting together with you, but you didn’t have to share so much beer. You are too generous, but your generosity is much appreciated.

This lasted longer than expected, but it’s time to go home. We’d like to get together to do this new beer thing again; want to pencil in next Sunday??

Wow, looks like I missed a lot yesterday. My grandfather's been sick, so I drove 12 hours to Grand Rapids yesterday and arrived at the hospital last night. I'll be spending about a week here. I'm sure I'll have a moment to visit Founders as well..

So confession, while I have more verticals of that beer, I have not tried them yet. I normally don't pawn off beers I haven't had, but our last minute "parking garage" trade, left me raiding my cellar the night before my flight. I hope you enjoyed them!

It is very sad for you I'm the only one you've met... :stuck_out_tongue:. I'm coming up to Eureka Springs in a few weeks, but as it's for my 10-year anniversary, we should probably not meet up.:astonished:
