What beer are you drinking now? #1815

That sixpoint went fast. Finally get to try this one. Im getting green pepper zest and lemon. Some mango. Slight passionfruit as it warms. Azacca, calypso, equinox and mosaic in this. I can dig it. its kind of an every day beer. Cheers.

That Founder's baby is really helpful. Vegetable soup is almost together and spicy sausage & egg breakfast burrito ingredients are prepared for the week. I think the proper glassware and stouts should continue.

After a porkroll egg and chee and washing my glasses, finally! Able to try this one after all these years and to be honestly im not really caring for it right now. I give it respect due to its tenure in our scene but it might have to grow on me. Lots of chocolate but then a hard astringency of what feels like witch hazel. Cheers.

I'm told today is a holiday to which I replied when you're retired every day is a holiday . . .





Color is a hazy medium yellow with a white cap.

Aroma is mild yet clean with a bit of fresh yeast bread and a hint of citrus.

Flavor is a refreshingly clean bready taste with enough hops and citrus to balance things out. Mostly grain driven yet by mid palate there is sufficient hop influence to keep up and the finish is dry. Relative simple but some depth as well. There is a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste that strikes me as citrus zest rather than hops though it's probably the latter.

The most interesting thing for me is the texture which is very creamy with balancing carbonation.

Another one that walks the middle path but does it in a straight line. Of course it's designed to appeal to a wide audience but that's not necessarily a negative. Sure, they want to round out the line with a Belgian White and there's no shame in that. Rather let's view it for what it is, which is a cost value Wheat brew that's far in advance of bland house beers in the past.

I'm back at the virtual bar after more image hosting woes last week. Let's see how long number four endures? Oh well, it's back to reality too after enjoying the last two Mondays much more than today. The scenery was better to say the least! I did get to bring a taste of Colorado home with me and this one that Matt at Rambo's in Estes Park threw in is a fine barrel aged milkstout.

Enjoy your day regardless of what you label it. I'll just call it Monday.
