Enjoying my first can, but feels a little green. Aroma is more bag o’ Galaxy pellets than tropical. Also feel like this would benefit from maybe another percent of ABV to hold up to all the hops.

Still, I am a big fan of Galaxy, and in its current state it’s a great hop fix. Expect it will be terrific in a week or so.

Starting to see some cans down on the south coast, specifically at Yankee Spirits in Swansea. Got to try Pressure Drop and Lit 3 weeks ago. Pressure Drop was great. Lit I hated and was not what I was expecting. It may have been exactly what they were going for and some might like it, but it was heavy on the spice and light on the wit, imo.

Picked up Major Tom yesterday at the brewery, and thought it was a home run! Definitely the best beer I've had from them, and glad I preordered a four pack for myself.....might be a little biased, as I love Galaxy hops!

Yeah just swung by today and got a 4 too. Seemed to be several cars in the cooler.

And I agree. The best ipa they've done so far. Lovely

Haven't had too many Lamplighter beers, but I thought Major Tom was excellent.

What I love about going to Lamplighter is that every time I go there, I taste progress. I've felt in the past that some of their IPAs have been kind of on the raw side. I had Major Tom at the brewery on Saturday. It was very good. Super hop saturated citrus, but not abrasive rather well rounded. On par with the best NEIPAs good. I'm having a can now and it's just as good. I hope that they make this a regular part of their rotation and are able to nail down the consistency for it. I'm really impressed.

If they can source Galaxy I'm sure it'll be a regular. Was pretty impressed with MT

Major Tom is legit. Poured into my treehouse d-bag glass for neck beard cred. I've been having my fair share of galaxy beers lately and this one sticks out...it has an incredibly bitter, dry pithiness to it. Very flavorful, and a slight bubblegummy backbone that reminds me of Treehouse's....house...flavor.I always taste pineapple in galaxy hops...this is like eating pineapple along with the skin.

Was not expecting the bitterness based on the color/aroma. It's like a west coast ipa bitterness.

There's a slight astringency on the finish that I've noticed with some of Lamplighters first batch of beers...if that gets cleaned up this one will be a killer. Seems like these guys are just on an upward trajectory.

I know that it went out to distribution this week. Website says there are still cans at the brewery.

No cans left at the brewery - we had them on Crowlers for a hot second but those are gone too. I know Yankee Spirits just picked them up and I dropped a case at Liquor Junction in Somerville late yesterday - not sure on the status at any of the local stores though.

Went to Yankee Spirits in Swansea to see if they had any Major Tom. Nope, but one can left of Stardust and 3 other varieties. Picked up that and a 4pack of Werewolves (porter).

Stardust is pretty delicious, I like old school IPAs with a bit of bite and a touch of caramel. But if I'm being honest I found it pretty similar to finestkind which is a lot cheaper. Obv I'd had to do it side by side to really compare.

The porter is great as well. Could def be making multiple purchases of this.

Aside from the places everyone else mentioned, I believe Redstone Liquors tweeted out this week that they had Major Tom, and I think the Gose. Not sure if they're still there though, worth a call.
