don't you pay in advance via eventbrite? that would be like throwing $120 away... can't imagine that scenario, but agree the trade value will not be there on the quad.. and I think more people will get allocations than with prior offers.

 

You pay in advance, but I know with Mex Brunch, if you didn't pick your allotment up for whatever reason you were fully refunded.. obviously everyone got refunded on that one regardless, but as it stands if you don't get there for some reason you get a refund and those bottles are sold later

well if that's true I'd say that's a serious flaw in the system, there should be a real monetary disincentive for people who may have no real intention to buy the beer...

 

The Eventbrite cleary says if you can not make it for any reason shot them an e-mail and they will give you a full refund

 

Is this sale only directed towards the Kane diehards, I guess? Speaking as someone who enjoys a quad occasionally, and who really enjoys Kane bottles in general, I just don't have any desire to make such a large purchase consisting almost entirely of something that usually sits around for so long (because there is necessarily less demand fof it). Maybe they included so many bottles in the package to cut down on the number of transactions?

Interested to see what happens here, either way. More for everyone else, I guess, and definitely still interested in trying both of these eventually.

 

Best Kane beer I have ever had for sure, my cousin cracked one open shortly after I did and it was just as good.

I know some people were saying during the Mex Brunch sales that they should only refund back a portion or nothing as a way to prevent people from trying to get it if they aren't 100% sure if they can even make it. Doubt we would see that happen though, if not only for the sheer incident where someone had good intentions to buy and pick their items up and had a real emergency that was out of their control

 

this I can see as fair... the impression I had from the earlier post was that if you bought and then just never showed, you eventually get a full refund.

hope that's the case, sure I would have preferred maybe 3 max of the Quad, but I'll just give some to friends. Hopefully if that's true I might be able to snag a second of the Stout once extras go on sale, if so

I feel like they knew it wouldn't be as high demand as something like ANTEAD or Mex Brunch, but just wanted to avoid the crazy line that people would have created just for the 2192 stout bottle

 

I think there is a demand, but not the same demand that we're used to. I think the 4/1 ratio is the deterrent here, not the beer it self.

I passed on it but if I was able to buy 3 bottles total (2:1), I would have done so. I don't need 4 quads.
