Mine is Mary from Hill Farmstead. I've tried almost all the other styles. But as a lover of good pilsners, this was superior. What are yours?? BTW, I had this both on tap, and canned, and they were equally as great..

I didn't realize that Hill Farmstead Brewery was German! :sunglasses:

Ah -- the old "pick your favorite child" thread.

I currently have 5 different German beers and 6 different German-style beers in rotation in my stock -- no favorites, just whatever tickles my fancy when it's time for a beer.

I LOVE Ayinger's dunkel. Go to German beer.

Just one? Nah... not doing that.

    Jever Pilsener (of course)
    Schlenkerla Marzen
    Schneider Aventinus

Which is best depends on my mood.

When I have access to it, Keesmann Herren Pils.
As a more realistic favorite, Andechser Doppelbock.

    Too many to mention

Many of the Heller Trum brews really rock for me.

"You favorite German beer" But you're talking about Hill Farmstead, which is American. Perhaps you should change the title to "Your favorite German-style beer". My favorite German beer is Schneider Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock (https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/72/1934/). And any wheat beer by Weihenstephaner.

My favorite German-style, American-made beer is Sierra Nevada Kellerweis.

Munich Lowenbrau for nostalgic reality, Aventinus just because, Aecht Schlenkerla "Original", Spaten Oktoberfest because it's a time-worn habit, and Sunner Kolsch. There are many more that I could cite. Americans are definitely getting better at many of the German styles.

This is a very ambiguously-titled thread, so I'll give answers to a few of the ways it can be interpreted.

    Favorite German Style: German Pilsner

Favorite German Beer: This is really tough. Bitburger Pils, Weihenstephan Original, Weihenstephan Hefeweizen, Ayinger Celebrator, Ayinger Jahrhundert, Ayinger Pils, Andechs Doppelbock, Andechs Hell, Mahrs Ungespundet, Aecht Schlenkerla Urbock, Reissdorf Koelsch, and, of course, Jever

Favorite German-Style Beer (Implying Outside Germany): Hill Farmstead Mary, New Glarus Zwickel, New Glarus Hometown Blonde, Von Trapp Helles, Von Trapp Pilsner, Von Trapp Vienna Lager, Dovetail Lager, Dovetail Vienna Lager, Dovetail Rauchbier, COAST 32/50, Metropolitan Arc Welder, Heater Allen Pils, and way too many more to mention.

I feel so lonely. No one yet has mentioned Maibock as a favorite beer style, which is my favorite style from whichever German brewery that I can get it.
