So is that FB page why no one will trade me any EQ on BA? I don't do FB so unfortunately can't join in the fun, but damn if it isn't hard to find someone on BA that will trade EQ.

Killer bottle share at EQ this AM. I was 64 in line at 8:30. Quite a long line, but I managed to get a full allotment of both. Drinking a dHop 2 right now and it is amazingly delicious. Can't wait to try TABA Raspberry. These guys just get better and better.

EQ has a totally different atmosphere than the New Jersey breweries. The bottle share is a wonderful idea and the trading allows folks to wait on line for 2-3 hours without grumbling. Lots of interesting beer talk. Middletown has a fairly depressed downtown and EQ brings in a lot folks who eat at the local restaurants (the nearby hot dog place is fun) or perhaps buy gas. The carnival atmosphere wouldn't fly in most NJ towns that host breweries. In the Garden State, fun of any kind is generally disdained.

I have to say I love how they do their releases, giving a lot of people the full allotment before reducing allotments gradually to make sure everyone who showed up gets beer. Very well done! dHop2 is fire right out of the gate! Can't wait to see what they do with the increased capacity

Raining on the EQ parade here a bit, but the bar I work at has taken off our past 3 EQ kegs almost immediately (Pale, DIPA, Wild) due to unpourable carbonation levels and undrinkable astrintengy. Food for thought.

I remember reading they got a grant from the city to open the brewery there. The brewery has to have a great standing relationship with the police. I thought it was amazing that they can have these huge bottle shares with the station right across the street from the brewery.

I had #4Science 1 on draft last night at the CraftBeerCares fundraiser event and it was absolutely amazing. I'm glad they brought it down since I can't make it up to EQ for releases and probably would've missed trying this otherwise but it was so flavorful for a single IPA. Definitely lots of fruity and floral notes. It was my favorite of the night.

    Mmmm peaches. See ya Saturday.

This Saturday 10/28 at the brewery from 11:30am-4pm we will be releasing There and Back Again Peach. $15 per bottle. Limits set at 6pp (subject to change)
There and Back Again is a tale of a spontaneous fermentation, isolation, confiscation, rejuvenation, mutation, and finally perturbation. This sour American wild ale is a collaborative effort with our dear friend Dr. Jason Rodriguez. We took our house "honey badger" mixed culture (no saccharomyces) and allowed it to ferment and sour over several months before refermenting it on Peaches.
The result is a peach character boosted by the tropical expression of our microorganisms. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

    See ya Saturday!
This Saturday 11/4 at the brewery from 11:30am-4:00pm we will be selling dHop 5 along with remaining bottles of TABA Peach. dHop 5 will be $20 per four pack, 1 case per person. Limits are subject to change.
dHop 5 is a 8.0% DIPA that supersizes one of our favorite Equilibrium IPAs: Fractal Citra/Galaxy. We scaled Fractal’s grain bill, water treatment, fermentation, and super sized the hop bill of citra and galaxy. dHop5 pours a milky straw yellow (milk>haze) releasing aromas of passion fruit, peach, lime, and pineapple all integrated with a sorbet twist. The taste is a bright creamy tropical flavor that is dangerously drinkable and balanced.

DHop5 sounds great. Fractal Citra/Galaxy is a strong contender for best new beer of 2017 for me so curious about the souped up version. Wish Eq was not a min 2 hour drive each way

In case you needed another reason to go, Pete posted on the FB group that they'll be tapping a keg of their pilot stout. John from District 96 will also be there giving out samples of Sexual Relations.

Quick question as I've never visited the brewery before. Their releases all say can/bottles sales run "11:30-4:00pm" -- If they haven't sold out at 4pm, do they stop selling cans and bottles? On their website, it says that cans and bottles are available "at the taproom" -- does this mean that sales would correspond with the growler-fill hours?

Visiting for the first time in a few weeks, but not sure if I will arrive before 4pm, but may be able to arrive by 6. Thanks for any info!
