Okay so must have been a troll then, obviously if enough JC is left for 2pp. Rolling up later today, really hope I don't get there an hour too late like last time I tried on a Wednesday.

I went by yesterday and tried Red Ferrari and Kendellson on draft, and surprisingly I thought Kendellson was better. Red Ferrari is good but pretty standard for a Veil DIPA, Kendellson has some bright, fruity notes and a little something else going on that makes it really tasty.

5PM was too late for RF and DDNN cans yesterday, we missed them by minutes apparently. I was bummed at first but felt better after trying RF, it was fine but I liked all their other DIPAs I tried over it (maybe it "needs a week"). I was still sad to not get DDNN cans though. DN is one of my absolute favorites and DDNN was on point. Staff was great, extra friendly, and it was still a fun visit as usual.

Gonna be in Laurel MD on Tuesday. Are the releases usually Tuesday? Worth the trip?

Releases are Tuesday at 4. They'll announce the beers and expected limits today on instagram. That drive from Laurel isn't going to be fun at all, but you'll probably be able to walk away with a couple cases if you want.

To make the trip worth while consider stopping by The Answer (4pm open), Triple Crossing(4pm open) and Final Gravity (11am open) for Crowlers / Cans as well. And Mekong (11am open) for lunch as well as their awesome taplist.

Uncle Uncle Cousin Cousin (DEBUT) is the double dry-hopped version of our 100% Mosaic hopped Triple IPA Uncle Cousin. Clocking in at 11%, this one is a true monster. No detectable alcohol presence, soft, and just loaded with insane Mosaic aromatics and flavor profile.
Shooting for approx 165-190 cases. $19+tax/4-pack. 6x 4-packs/1x case per person limit.

Never Never Gonnagetit Gonnagetit (DEBUT) is the double version of our mixed berry Gose Never Gonnagetit. Clocking in at 5.1%, we put twice as much Raspberry, Boysenberry, and Blackberry purée into this one. Hundreds of gallons, thousands of pounds of purée. It’s insane. Seriously. Dare we say this is the little sibling to Never Never Again Again? **PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FRUIT IN THIS BEER AND THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THESE CANS REMAIN COLD AT ALL TIMES.**
Shooting for approx 170-190 cases. $22+tax/4-pack. 6x 4-packs/1x case per person limit.

Lord Lord Shredder Shredder is the 6.3% double dry-hopped and double blood orange version of our house IPA Master Shredder. This will be the last time LLSS will be available for a while, so grab it while you can.
Shooting for approx 215-230 cases. $16.50+tax/4-pack. 6x 4-packs/1x case per person limit.

    *LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

Also remember this week is Third Thursday. Pilot batch being released is Mixed Feelings - Smoked Helles.

Every Sunday I get my hopes up for the return of Master Shredder, and every Sunday it feels like they're moving further and further away from that type of beer. The B.S. shredder variants are even more painful.

I love MMSS and Eternal Shredder. But I am not a fan a fan of any "Lord" variant. I wish they would just drop CT once a month or so, or keep any of the others in a bit more regular rotation.

Does anyone recall how The Veil was around Thanksgiving last year? I'm driving to my moms in Virginia Beach the Wednesday before and might drive out of my way to get some cans to take home.

They have a black Friday event, that is sure to be a mess. Not sure how that will impact thier Tuesday release?

Yeah we would be going Wednesday in hopes cans are still available. Have to be back in Raleigh on Thursday as my fiancee works black Friday.

My guess is that it won't be any worse that a normal weekly release in terms of wednesday can availability. They will probably have a couple different cans available. They may do some less popular stuff that week to avoid a big Tuesday turnout that hurts their Friday turnout, and maybe they'll figure they can get some extra can sales on Friday as well. Or maybe that's overthinking it, but I doubt it will go the other way of normal.

Holiday weeks last year were exceptionally busy. Last year the Tuesday before Thanksgiving was uncharacteristically nuts. There were similar issues the Tuesdays before Christmas and New Years and then it was back to normal for a long time (normal then was rolling up at 5PM to zero lines for something like Dirt Nap and IdonteverEVER).

Tuesday before Thanksgiving last year I showed up about 4PM and expected a short wait like normal but the line was around the parking lot (1hr+), and it only got longer as I was there. They had 4 cans, 3 new I believe: Nice Relationship (no limit), blackivy (case), Never Forever (2pp) and Toof Ache (no limit). Never Forever sold out well before close and there were a whopping 2 cases of blackivy left at opening on Wednesday. I believe everything else sold out Wednesday (ToofAche lasted longest but imho wasn't good). There was a significant line on Wednesday too - I talked to some guys on Black Friday who got in line at Veil at 2PM on Wednesday. Not to say that's guaranteed again this year or anything, but that was last year for no-hype release.

They have the big event on Friday this year, and I'm expecting that to be an absolute $^*#show. Personally I'm pissed that they've relegated blackivy cans to once per year at a release they announced months ahead on a day when I think you can expect muling to be at its highest. They can keep the Whangbottle, I just want a couple 4 packs of blackivy but I'm not counting on getting any (unless they do a quad batch at 2pp or something). That's my top beer from last year that hasn't made a return. Oh well, at least Frozen Ocean is coming back.
