Heard a Brown Paper Ticket rumor...

Source: a friend's trading partner. No clue about veracity.

BPT seems unlikely given how soon it is though right?

BPT can do electronic tickets so short notice wouldn't be an issue

These long waits are silly. I was at Angry Chair for their French Toast/Woke release and when I got there(Hour before they started) I looked at the line and was going to leave, thinking I was no way standing 5 hours in line, one of the regulars talked me into hanging in there. When the release started I had all my allotment in my hands in 20-25 minutes tops. Those guys have it down, they had 4 people taking cash and 4 people handing you your bottles. The important thing here is CASH ONLY during their releases, it speeds things up so fast, Cycle is the same way in the morning releases.

I was there at 8:30 for the Double Rainbow release, and walked away with 3 bottles.

If you got there at 11AM (which I did) for the double rainbow release, you walked away with one bottle after about an hour and ten minute wait. Now that's not 25 minutes, but it was their first rodeo and I think that's pretty good.

Also, I waited another 10-15 minutes to get in the brewpub and got to dry a draft of the beer* and the two other variants. Overall, it wasn't bad considering how long the line was.

*-Which is great, because now I can just put the bottle on the mantle and stare at it like a good beer bro.

So it's two bottles up until a certain point in the line? Also, how much were the double rainbows?

Yes, assuming it's the same release method as last time. DR was $18 a bottle

The first 200 in line received a ticket that was good for 2 bottles of DR. After that it was 1BPP.

If tickets were given out earlier, and the line was monitored, about 40-50 people would not have gotten tickets. They gave out tickets right before they opened at 11am.

Yeah, I was planning to meet a friend. Got there at 9. He showed later and must have known someone up front, got two bottles. Kind of silly to give out different allotments based on location in line if you don't control for things like that.

People already in line need to have the balls to confront line cutters. Someone tried to pull the same stunt in front of us. Met up with a group hours later. My buddy made it apparent that he knew what was going on (always a loud talker). Needless to say, eventually the dude got the hint and walked to the back of the line.

I agree that if a larger allotment is based on a count, someone should be there early and pass tickets out before the line is x2 or more past that number. Though, people need to be responsible to keep their place in line. If you see someone being a douche, say/do something. I can't see a brewery putting in the effort to have line monitors, especially when sharing is allowed and people are walking back and forth putting stuff in cars and visiting the pisser in numbers.

With that said, saw a comment that there will be 4 pissers setup along the trail. Def good news.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think part of the issue was trying to get a count before determining how many people got 2. They're trying to make sure everyone in line is going to get one. You can't determine that the first 200 get 2 bottles, then come up 100 bottles short because more people than expected showed up by 11.

I was too far back to notice all of the shenanigans apparently. My guess is the area around the feed store is pretty easy to abuse given the gaps in the line by the entrance.
