Let me know if you have any issues editing the spreadsheet. I realized that I initially had it set to read only. It should be fixed now.

I just read on the Darkness Day site about the color coded wristbands that indicates what time you can line up to get your bottle sales. For me it'll be an issue since I have to start driving out of town by noon at the latest. Which is only about an hour after they open.
Is there anyway to determine which color wristband that you get? As I plan to line up around 6 or 7 and be on the road by 11:45ish.

They give out the earliest pickup times at the front of the line. Unfortunately if your there at 6 or 7 you’ll most likely have a later pick up time. :slight_frown:

What time do people normally line up? I thought the line typically didn't start until the tents are taken down at around dawn.

People start lining up at 3pm on Friday (with tents) and then that line condenses into just people the next morning. Even if you show up Saturday morning, you still have to go to the back of that line.

Yeah, as others have said, I don't think it's going to work out within the time you need it to. I would guess the earliest slot you would get is 2-2:30 by lining up at 6 or 7am. Without doing something really screwy and highly frowned upon, you couldn't even trade with someone who is first in line.

Can't wait for another event like Zombie Prius, Dumpster Fire, or 4 am "Swing At Me Old Man" guy.

Looks like the event page is now updated with bands, taps, and food trucks... http://surlybrewing.com/events/darkness-day-2017/

Was amazed at how well run DD was seven years ago (as opposed to DLD at the time...) so I'm excited to see how it has held up/evolved since then!

At the risk of sounding dumb.... Anyone know what Cooper is? It's the first on the list of kegs - Can't find anything about it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they put Darkness in Pentagram barrels. You heard it here first, folks.

Just to make it very clear, I thought I'd leave this here. There have been a couple of wrong/approximate times posted, & if D-Day is going to continue, we need to not create headaches for the neighboring businesses. And for the love of hell, clean up after yourselves! The volunteers do an awesome job picking up afterwards...but they shouldn't have to.

    • DON’T SHOW UP IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK BEFORE 3:30pm on Friday! If you do, we will ask you to leave. Neighboring businesses will still be open and we NEED to respect their space and employees.

Not even trying to sound like an asshole, but you know this won’t work. It’s going to be a motorcade that rivals a president coming to town around 1 pm.

How long does the Friday night bottle share usually run til?
Does it run all night into the morning?
Does it die down after 2am and people get some shut eye before sunrise?
Is there very much bottle sharing in the morning after sunrise?
I'm trying to figure out a good time to drive up from IA and what to bring. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The place will be boiling until at least 11 PM. Then people begin to drift off to throw up/pass out/go to sleep/die depending on their level of consumption. But there will still be people up & going at 1 AM, & I know people who've stayed up all night.

There is plenty of line-drinking in the morning by people with stronger stomachs than I.

tl;dr: there will be people drinking in line from 3:30 PM until the line disbands.

To add to this, most tables shut down by 2am, but there are always a few with people all night. I’ve only gone all night once. Things get weird after 2 (fights, pissing in the streets, etc.).
