I name them, and typically keep it on the DL unless people ask then I let them know, unless they are family. I am fairly uninventive though:
    - Bullion Bitter ( Bullion hops)
    - Bramling session Brown (Bramling Cross hops)
    - Scottish Breakfast Stout (Scotch/oak/coffee stout)
    - Bailey Brown (My dog's name and she is brown)
    - Hanna Heffewiezen (My sister's energetic little dog's name)
    - Slender (weak stout I tried to make)
    - Wee on the Heavy (Wee Heavy I made that came out at 7.5%.... Was shooting for 9%...)

Many more along those lines. And yes if the ones named after dogs ever come out bad well.... one could say the names have two meanings...

Also If someone asks what I am giving my buddies, I always say "The Worst Homebrew" as TWH is my initials.

Tomorrow's brew is a tropical IPA with Summit, Simcoe, Liberty, Citra, Amarillo, and maybe Jarrylo. If it comes out tropical fruity enough and at 6.9%ABV I'm planning to call it Monster Island IPA.

Yep, every beer I've brewed since 1992 I've named. Some corny, some clever, some personal. One of my favorites is my ongoing solera project. It's called Continuum. With every iteration from year to year changing, the name slightly changes too.

    Continuum: Peach
    Continuum: Sour Cherry
    Continuum: Gueuze

I name all of my beers, and I typically name them after Pagan gods, goddesses, angels, demons, djin etc. I name my darker, heavier beers after the darker aspects of lore. My last stout was Asteria, a goddess of night. I named a blonde ale Morningstar ( read Lucifer). Right now I want to do a Mexican chocolate stout and name it El Coocooi. I always associated witches around a cauldron with what I do in my garage, the names followed suit.

Apparently I'm in the minority. I don't name my beers....unless you consider "simcoe/mosaic pale ale" a name. Usually the only identifier is a couple letters written in sharpie on the bottle cap. For instance, my previous beer was a stout with the first runnings used as a bourbon/coffee imperial and the second runnings as a lower ABV stout. They were labeled "1R S" and "2R S" respectively. I guess I never got the marketing aspect of homebrewing. People don't seem to mind drinking it if I just say it is a 6% IPA single hopped with El Dorodo. Maybe I'd get people to drink it faster if I called it Cowboy Moon Juice or something...but I'd feel stupid calling it that.

We name our beers based on some joke or something one of us says while we're brewing. Totally spontaneous.

I've even named brews that I have not brewed yet. At some point in the near future I plan to brew "Your Cheating Tart," a sour wheat ale brewed with loomi. The cheating part comes in with the fact that I plan to sour it with lactic acid rather than live bugs, and use the loomi to add complexity to the sour and tart flavor, as lactic acid is said to produce one-dimensional sour notes. I'm just trying to concoct a quick turnaround, easy to make brew that will scratch my relatively recent sour itch without risking contamination of my limited brewing equipment. At some point I do want to start making sour beer "the real way" but this is just a foray into it to see how it turns out.

I don't, like @captaincoffee I just mark a letter code on the bottle top

so at the moment I've got
    BA
    BAC
    BK

The fun comes when I forget a bottle and months later have to play a guessing game as to what beer it is

Yep. I'm about to be playing that game. Usually, I like to buy different colored caps for each of my batches, but my LHBS has been selling "over run" caps for cheaper the past several months. My desire to save a few bucks has led to my beers all having silver caps. Being too lazy to label a couple of batches has led to some doubt about which is which.

I avoid the guessing game by writing batch number on caps and then cross referencing my brew log.

My wife and I get into naming our beers. It keeps it fun for my
Wife and she usually has coasters made for most of them. Most of our beers have been named after our dog in some way or he's been incorporated into the "label somehow or another.

Some of the ones we've used:
    -paw prince porter
    -mr jingles Xmas ale
    -red rocket Irish red
    -snowboard session IPA
    -pogo IPA
    -paw check pale ale
    -prince Caspian's ghost (pumpkin Ale)
-Tottos twin (chocolate, vanilla coconut brown porter)
    -on the hunt oatmeal stout
    -grass kicker kolsch
-a vision blurred (hazy New England "pale ale")
    -mr patient mild
    -princetigator
    -ein prinzit oktoberfest
    -toe chaser brown ale

I've got beers in my cellar that I have to guess on. Typically not too hard as I have certain ones in certain places. But every so often I just have to hold it up to the light and see what color it is. Copper/Red is the Wee Heavy that was way to sweet. Pale Golden is the Tripel that tastes like almonds. These are my cooking beers, so if I get it wrong I'm not too worried.

Yes, just for the kegerator VAP chalkboard though...along with recommended blending instructions (RBI). The baseball theme is also for pipeline beers: "On Deck" and "In the Hole" The names have to be short to fit and sometimes have political themes like "Nit Wit" and "Election Erection Stout" (2012)

I've got a pseudo name for my home brewery that plays off my last name and a facebook to let everyone know whats going on with the beers brewed and hops growing so they could get in on it . If I've got extra cash to blow I'll make a label and I'll usually name them in accordance with whats been going on with my life. For instance: I named a pale ale I made for the end of paramedic school for an after school get together, "Pale, Cool, and Diaphoretic" seeing as how our really sick patients present that way and it goes well describing a cold beer!

Another thing I do is reuse names for different beers. So, I'll use the same name for most of my DIPA's even though the recipe is different. i.e.:

    Frightful - DIPA's
    Fickle Bitch - Big stouts
Summer of George - Pretty much anything I throw on tap during summer
    Conviviality - Saisons
