Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Looking like a nice weekend for weather. I had a couple of trades land this week, so I really have no need to go get any beer hauls at the moment. Got plenty of stuff to review. Already coming up on 5900 reviews next week. Need to keg the American stout I made last month today, been sitting in my fermentation chamber for longer than I'd want. Will definitely be brewing again soon, I have a keg that is on it's last couple pints. Not sure on style just yet.

    Beers this morning:

Delicious coffee porter! Aromas and flavors of big nutty medium roasted coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, and toasted brown bread; with light herbal hops and dark fruity yeast notes. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; very creamy and a fairly silky; with some light sticky/chalky notes from roast malt, coffee, and hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly drying. Very much an American porter all the way through; but does have some nice background English style character from the yeast and malts. Very well balanced and well rounded in complexity. Was addicted to the Hotbox IPA earlier this year(3 packs drank, I think). Might grab more than 1 of these packs, if they sit around like that beer did lol. Also need to load up on Death By Coconut. Already got a 4 pack, but I need way more.

Awesome NEIPA! Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuity malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced bready/grainy wheat creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth and easy drinking. Very juicy, vibrant, and dank hops; great malt balance, no residual sweetness. A little more drying on the bitterness than I would have preferred. Still delicious. Apparently they are doing variations on the hops now. Original batch was Simcoe and Mosaic; my can says Falconers Flight 7 C's and Citra. Will keep an eye out for others, really want to try the Mosaic/Simcoe the most.

Awesome coffee DIPA. Looks paler in color than last year. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced medium roast coffee, cocoa, and vanilla; caramel, toasted bread malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel and light roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced sticky/resins and creaminess in the mouthfeel; touch of chalkiness from cocoa/coffee. Increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable and minimal warming ABV. Pretty much perfectly balanced between cocoa/coffee and citrus/pine hop flavors; not overly sweet/malty. On my 3rd and final pack of the year. Just got a pack of Xocoveza last weekend, so it's time to make the Stone seasonal transition.

This is insane! Flavors of lightly tart blueberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, toasted coconut, bourbon, oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, and raisins. Light roasted bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Full bodied with an amazing creamy/silky/rich mouthfeel. Some light roast malt chalkiness and fruit acidity; touch of dryness from both. Never cloyingly sweet, but definitely a dessert beer. Amazingly smooth, minimally warming 10.5%. A near perfect balance of berries, cocoa/vanilla, malt, and barrel character. Tons of flavor complexity, and it all comes together extremely well. I've always been a big fan of fruit stouts, so I'm not surprised how much I loved this one. Seems pretty polarizing to most people, but this is one of my favorites from last year. This is the 7th bomber I've had, and I have a few more in the cellar. I keep grabbing these randomly every time I see them. Well worth the price. One of my stores still has a couple cases.

    Cheers

La Trappe is fairly easy to get in most French supermarket. Also a fave of mine even though its "Isid'or" counterpart is great as well. Innit, @Beer-Panda ?

Good morning BAs! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Rather disappointing, unless it's so complex I can't untangle it. But since it's undated, there's no way to tell how much abuse it's received from the distributor and retailer...
