Got a 1:00 wristband but can't make it at that time due to a wedding. Too bad. Was hoping to get my hands on a bottle of Darkness 2017. Oh well maybe next year.

Can't recall - does anyone know if they take credit card for the pours and food trucks?

Got a wristband at 11:15. Hype officially over?

Might be fading some but the forecast and pouring rain this morning might have had something to do with it.

Just got a 2-2:30 wristband and most casks are still on. I'm really liking the cherry Darkness.

Seems to have to do with the ever-easier availability of Darkness at retail. I heard several people express some variation of the opinion "It'll be in stores, I'll just grab some then & not go to D-Day".

I think the lower turn out is due to both the availability of Darkness in stores and the incredible availability and variety of beers we have at our our fingertips that we could have only dreamed about when I started attending Darkness Day in 2010.

I talked to a lot of people last night that now do exactly what I do: show up and enjoy the bottle share for awhile and then just snag a couple bottles in the stores in the next week or so.

If I could post the video I would, but it was great fun watching Omar, and others in the Pit during Toxic Holocast. Had a great time today!

You are probably right and as others have stated, the weather was terrible that day. If they want to make it a bigger deal maybe they need to change things up? Perhaps they need to take a page out of the Dark Lord Day book and release bottles of variants that are only available at the event.

Anyone else here try Cooper? I thought it was great. The coffee and cherry surprisingly worked.

Agreed- I liked it quite a bit. Coffee was more prominent, which was good!

I thought it was quite bad. The coffee was way over powering and unbalanced.

I liked Cooper, the Coffee was very strong, couldn't tell there were cherries in there. I ordered a Mole Darkness, friend ordered Cherry Darkness, we tasted both and are sure they had them switched. Both good, Cherry a little better.

I am glad they did the age verification wristbands Friday night, and the rain actually helped the morning line move much faster than usual. I heard there were 500 wristbands left after the initial line was taken care of but they were all gone by 1:00.
