I've never had the privilege of commuting into Brooklyn from the Belt, but I could imagine the perpetual shitshow that it would be. Fortunately the LIE is the most feasible roadway for my commute back to Patchogue, which isn't even that great. If I only hit 30 minutes worth of traffic I consider that a good drive back home. If my commute wasn't dependent on getting out of Brooklyn before 11AM you probably wouldn't catch me lining up for cans.

Oh shit hahah. The misspelling of the name didn't click. My mistake.

OK, how much Chimera did they brew? I can not believe they still have cans of that.

Jeez how much chimera did they make? Or are people just not buying it?

the answer is they brewed enough. they'll sell it all in a 10 days instead of an hour. big whoop.

Just surprised that an IPA got through two weekends. Was wondering if they just produced way more or if people were less interested.

I just think the market is becoming over saturated. Just 8 months ago... you didn't have Sand City canning as much, EQ canning at all, Troon only doing growlers, Treehouse not doing 4000 cases a week etc. etc.

If OH brews 100 cases of almost any beer it will sell out on Saturday morning. If they double batch it like Chimera and there isn't a lot of hype it will last a couple days at least. The Double Batch Theory has long been understood around here. That is the main reason limits were a hot topic.

I was not reading the forum end of last year to know how this was handled, but we’re entering “best-of 2017 list” season and I’d be very curious to see how people rank their top... 5(?) new OH brews from this year. Not ready to release my own, but Aint Nothin Nice and Green Power will undoubtedly make strong showings.

My list is pretty easy for me:

    1. All Infinity Everything (this could just be me writing in the heat of passion)
    2. 3rd Anniversary
    3. Double Citra Daydream
    4. DDH Hop Showers w/ Motueka
    5. Green Power

Lots of incredible Other Half beers this year though.

All Infinity Everything tastes almost too good. Someone go check the OH dumpsters for empty tropicana containers

Not totally sure where I'd place All Infinity yet, but based on the can I had last night...
    1. Green Power
    2. All Infinity Everything
    3. Raining Threes
    4. 3rd Anniversary
    5. Powdered Cheese
I consider 3rd Anniversary their most "impressive" new beer, but I'm partial to IPAs in the 6-9% range.

    Berries
    DDH Hop Showers + Motueka
    Saloon Doors
DDH Double Mosaic Daydream in Green
    B1 Nummy

While none of the beers were outright incredible, Enigma hops deserve a shoutout!

And just kidding on Saloon Doors, replace with Green Power please

I tend to forget that Other Half brews stouts at times. While they've had plenty of duds in the past, Berries can go toe-to-toe with a lot of Omnipollo's great dessert stouts. Probably should've made room for that on my list.
