I was very happy Oxbow was the first brewery confirmed for the Beervana Fest down here (CBC the second!). I always have issues fitting in Oxbow with my other Portland beer rounds...glad they are coming to me in October.

I feel very lucky to have gotten a Native/Wild bottle on Saturday at the Portland spot. They were down to about 14 bottles left. I never spend that much on a single bottle but I love Oxbow so much that I had to treat myself. The guy serving me told me the employees did a blind taste test of beers of that style and Native/Wild landed in the top 5 of every employees ballot. Can't wait to pop that open soon.

The day bottles dropped I had a pour of LP Gueuze immediately after Native/Wild and it held up. It was the first time I've tried an American interpretation next to a classic, but I feel like that says a lot for Oxbow.

    Cracked open another native wild
A: to share with friends for the game and
B: because I lack self control

And am having a much different experience with this bottle. I commented the last bottle tasted flat, this one not nearly so much. Had a much larger and fluffier head that is still lingering a bit 10 minutes after the pour.

I noticed the first bottle I opened had a slight "pop" when I cracked the bottle cap. Found it funny because these are corked as well. When I pulled the cork there was no pop...cork seemed dry and crumbly so I thought the carbonation leaked out as I was pulling it out.

Is it possible I had a funky bottle? This one is dynamite. Not sure what to do with the rest of them...

Just read about their farmhouse ale Momoku... sounds pretty damn delicious. Anyone have any reviews? How peach forward is it? And any chance it's on shelves south of Boston?

It's very peach forward, similar to JK Fen Tao. Definitely one of the best peach wilds I've tried. It hit distro all over ME and MA. I saw it recently on the North Shore, so I'm assuming it'd be in the shops that get regular Oxbow drops.

It's some real good stuff. Way more tart/sour than their usual offerings. Not as much barnyard/foot as I've come to expect from Oxbow either. Some people probably prefer that. As sour as it is it never reaches that overly acidic point where it's not drinkable. I have no problem doming a 500ml.

beautiful typography as usual. Not sure if Will Sears did this one (it looks like the tables SP uses), but doesn't seem to matter. Packaging always top of the line.

Had one on Saturday and it's excellent. After Native Wild my favorite beer I've had from them.

Thinking there’s a possibility, as the Monkish collab saw limited distro. Of course SP involvement, the use of the coolship, and limitability maybe a different story

2017 Liquid Swords this Tuesday! Seems like every year of Swords is better than the last.

I would tend to doubt it as the bottling run was even smaller than the Native Wild run according to one of the guys I talked to at the Portland location.

So I saw on the ISO / FT Forum a guy from Pennsylvania looking for an "Oxbow Double Daisy Farmer" - which, like the Side Project collab Nocturnality, has 0 reviews. But unlike Nocturnality which has been released and for all I know might be already sold out, I haven't seen the formal announcement for it...either way, it sounds awesome...a Half Acre collab with the name being a clear riff on Double Daisy Cutter. Any intel on this one Oxbow fans?
