It's not in map form but this gives you a list by tube line and stop. The app lets you see a map of all the selected pubs along a specific tube line. I'll make a note to add that to the website as well.

Hi all, thanks to those who have already replied. My trip is fast approaching, and I have a couple more questions to ask - any help is appreciated. All of these questions will be for the month of November eg. Where is the best...in November.

    In Munich 1- 5:
    Best place for Weisswurst
    For Steckerlfisch
Will any of the biergartens be open in early November?

I'll also be in Nurmeberg 5-8, Bamberg 8-12, Dusseldorf 12-16, Hamburg 16-19, Leipzig 19-21. Would be happy to catch up for a beer with anyone who will be around, I'll try and drag some Victorian beer with me.

Probably best to leave the VB at home. Hope the flight goes well.

Best place for Weißwurst (IMHO) is Schneider Weißes Bräuhaus. Just remember, Weißwurst isn't served past noon (also remember: you don't eat the casing on a Weißwurst!).
Unless there's a crazy heatwave in Munich in November, probably no Garten open.
Is there any good place for Steckerlfisch?

Well, that's what I was hoping to find out - I like most things fish.

There actually IS an absolutely crazy heatwave in Munich (all over Germany, really) right now, although it probably won't last until November :slight_frown:.

Be sure to have the Kneitinger Bock in Regensburg. One of the best beers I ever had.

If you've never had it, don't stand down-wind from the vendor before your first try -- the "aroma" will send you running!

I see 73°F (23°C) in Munich right now -- that's about perfect weather for a Biergarten, but yeah -- I wouldn't expect that come November, but who knows?

*Edit: Forecast shows a high of 59°F (15°C) by next Friday -- more seasonal.

Not to put a damper on things, but in my time living in Germany, I always made it a point to leave the country in November. Sleet, snow, rain, darkness. And darkness. And sleet. Stay away from sharp objects.

Wait -- isn't that the same reason you left Chicago?

I will arrive in Munich on November 3rd and will definitely be heading to Paulaner Brauhaus that night. Too late for the Weisswurst.

While slightly off the topic, I've been in Munich and Bamberg in late November (the week of Thanksgiving and had a great time. The Christkindlemärkte have begun. Snow on the roofs. The bars are warm and cozy.

My wife and I have said, the first time neither of our sons come home for Christmas we're going to Bamberg.

Ditch the kids and run out for beer!

Winter is the one season I've never spent in Germany -- based on the pictures seen, I imagine it to be beautiful.

Regensburg has some very nice Weinactsmarkts. The one at the Turm und Taxis Schloß was memorable.

It is very cozy in the bars and breweries, especially if the stoves are going.
