Troon Brewing

They don't have cans.. They do have crowlers most weekends. Check their social media for when/if they are opening and what they have. There is a restaurant on the same site, Brick Farm Tavern, that serves their beer on tap.

 

I enjoyed it. Carb was there, but low. It reminded me of the time I french pressed fruit with a shelfie IPA.

 

Sorry man. They just put on Instagram that they will be closed this week.

Conclave is definitely worth hitting, not too far from Troon.

 

Go to Brick Farm and enjoy a couple of drafts with some great food. Well worth the visit

 

Unfortunate timing my friend. Troon is closed this weekend so far as any new beer or can release goes.

That said, if you want to try their beer on tap, head right to the restaurant/bar on the same grounds, Brick Farm Tavern. Excellent food and they always have a few Troon beers on tap. Also to make the trip worth it, you'll be in close proximity to two other great breweries. Conclave, and The Referend.

Keep your eyes on Kane's social media as well after last week's teaser post.

 

I think its fairly safe to assume the teaser post was because Alex was down there brewing a beer last week. So this week would be the only week to not look out for Kane's social media posts, as one week isnt enough time to brew and release a beer.

 

True that. It was meant more in general. Next time I'll make sure to reference a specific timeframe. Sure hope they're not doing anything other than an IPA, we could be watching for a long time.

 

based on troon's post from 10/12 and them being closed this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a week day drop coming early/mid next week.

 

Just had a permanent purgatory.it's less than stellar. Tastes more like a malt liquor or a cheap wine than a beer. I split a crowler and couldn't finish my portion.

 

I finished the crowler I got but I much prefer beer that tastes like beer. This one has zero hop presence whatsoever. Definitely not a drain pour though, IMO.

 

yeah, i agree. i want a beer that at least is somewhat like a beer. i gave the remaining portion of my pour to a friend. had i had a full crowler i think it would have been dumped though.

 

7.6% session IPA lolz

I know he did it once before but it’s still funnny.

 

Compared to Illegible Metal Font it is a session. I'm drinking my last crowler of the Font right now while watching Game 7, btw, and it's spectacular.

 

I was hoping he'd do a pilsner. Looks like I gotta hit up the tavern...what a shame.

 

Way more than once. Untappd shows I've had 8 Troon beers listed as session ranging from 6% to 9% abv.

It's amusing, but if you happen to use the data on Untappd for anything it kind of messes up the metrics.
