Anyone try Green Power? Really curious as to how it compares to first batch!

Reminds me of TH Green. Very good out of the gate.

I actually think I prefer the non DDH version of Green Power. I feel like there is a little less of that melon flavor to it.

Interesting that you compare it to TH Green, im not really getting that with this one.

According to Google Maps live it is a little busy. Might swing by soon need that Green Power so bad.

DDH Green Power is great, definitely one of my favorites from this year. DDH Double Mosaic Daydream is probably my winner from this year though, the first batch was absolutely amazing and I'm glad I went to that release. Also seeing that OH is predictable, DDH Double Space Dream is going to be amazing, I feel like the single versions always lack the punch of the Imperial versions.

Was on my way to Ikea with my wife and she says “I gotta pull over to respond to an email” so she pulls off Hamilton and parks in front of OH and says “Go see if they have cans still”. So I grabbed the last 4 pack of DDH Oh. Today’s a good day.

Any word on what the collabs are?

Gotta be a good chance it's more than just IPAs with JW and ET. Especially since ET just brewed an ipa there.

I was really rooting for DDH Green Power but comments from folks that had both aren't positive. It does make me wonder how much different the DDH versions of any given beer OH produces are. Generally they're better but still similar enough, but I almost think the rate of improvement is more reliable/consistent going from a single IPA version to a double IPA version. Haven't had it yet (couldn't get to taproom today) but still going in for a pint if not also a growler. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

As far as the Oat Cream IPAs I feel like the single IPA versions lack punch so the Imperial versions have generally been a big step up.

I haven’t had the base Green Power so I can’t compare the two but I thought it was very good and definitely a contender for top 5 new OH beers this year. That being said given how people raved about the original batch I was a tad underwhelmed.

Also, and I suppose I might get some flak for this, but I've recently discovered OH IPA's are really delicious with tequila. I don't drink many cocktails, but I had a half can of DDH Oh... (previous batch) that had gone flat I was about to pour down the drain. In a moment of inspiration, I recalled a tequila and beer cocktail I'd had years ago with a Mexican lager. Mixed the Oh... with a little tequila blanco and this shit drinks real nice.

For me the single quality of the original that made it stand out was that melon flavor, so pronounced and, at least with the IPA's I've had, unique. Loved it. Maybe that comes through as the DDH imperial ages.

Yeah, same thoughts as per the first batch. This iteration is really green but I'm optimistic it will settle into a similar spot with some time

What did I miss? Why did OH send a bunch of my hometown. I'm down here for grad school so I'm out of the loop up there...

Funny I just logged onto untapped for probably the third time in my life (to see what was happening at the threes can jam - I was toying with the idea of pitching my wife on her staying at home to look after our one year old and me going out to “get stuff”). Anyway I also checked out OH. One guy just checked in DDH AEE but didn’t rate it because it’s “too old to judge”. Is that a thing? Dark times.

Hit my first Other Half release yesterday. I gotta give to you guys, it was awesome. Thank you to everyone in this thread for the great advice, I got in line a little before 8am and was able to get everything I wanted. Such a different atmosphere than what I am use to at Tired Hands. It was so nice hanging out with people (not empty chairs) and talking beer and making trades. The staff was great as well constantly walking down the line taking counts giving people the heads up if they were possibly not going to get something. Opening early was just icing on the cake. The check out process was also super fast, much different than my home brewery in Ardmore. Only black eye was the NYPD trolling Garnet, saw them give someone a ticket for open container. Seemed totally petty and a waste of their time but I guess the feel they have to show a presence, who knows. After grabbing my cans I hit up the tap room for a 32 oz growler of All Infinity Everything and I gotta say that beer is outstanding. Thanks again for making a Philly guy feel welcomed, great times and great beer!
