Is their production facility the same place as the tap room where they have releases? If not, couldn’t they handle releases there. Odd Side (grand haven, mi) taproom is actually in a small indoor spot with other shops. The releases were a disaster for the other tenants so now they do most at their production facility that is in an industrial park. Ticketed, timed release, you get 60-90 minutes to walk through, fill out your order form for what you want, tap locations throughout the warehouse to have a couple pours of what is being released and on your way.

If production is at the same place, disregard this message.

Great idea, sell tickets online and have them pick it up at a designated time.

Fern is very narrow and most of the residents park on the street so it would be a nightmare for any traffic. Plus the residents bitch.

The fact these super hyped breweries in Florida decide NOT to ticket their releases just boggles my mind. If Hoof Hearted still didn't ticket releases, like when they first opened, it would be an absolute disaster.

Think of the scene in Castaway when Tom Hanks makes fire for the first time. Similar reaction that brewers have when they see a shit ton of people lined up out side their building.

The lines are actually pretty smooth and despite all the (well deserved) criticism of the line arrangement I've never once had an issue.

I don't think anyone disputes that it has gone pretty smoothly. It seems to me from reading these posts that most people are concerned for the day that it doesn't. Nobody seems to be knocking Angry Chair. They just come across as being concerned for their own safety and the safety of their fellow line standers.

From my own experience, I've stood on the Florida Ave side once. I was dead sober and it was terrifying. Granted, this was the TBBW Late Start event and it was weekday rush hour. Cars were flying by way over the speed limit in those narrow ass lanes. One mistake and a car is up on that sidewalk in no time.

Online sales and ticket systems have an incurred cost to the business. Also us Floridians are not the heathen unwashed that is the Northeastern hop hunter

Very true about those Northeastern. Us Midwest folks are clean and classy though (except for Chicago).

The trade boards would like a word with you

The annual snowbird migration also has to have more than a little to do with the successful emergence of all those alluring pastry stouts. You can thank us later :poop:

After being to a Cycle and an AC release, I would beg to differ lol. People circling back in line and posting up their first round of bottles for 100x the purchase price.... pretty impressive.

Please let me know next time a release can be sold for 100x the purchase price! I'll happily join the ranks of heathen unwashed.
