If the Reserve I tasted at WeldWerks on Friday was infected, sign me up for ALL the infected ones

I would hope no one would call infected to get attention. I know WW has worked very hard to take precautions against infections since the Obama issue. Only 1 person has noticed an infection 9ut of hundreds.

I think the person should have reached out to Neil and WW first before posting anything. They should have taken the bottle to Neil so he could test for something if they left any at the bottom.

Im sure WW would have made it right. Now if I were them and this is just me I would tell him to go beat sand.

Dang it I hate autocorrect and just noticed it put Obama when I wrote BAMA. I can't edit on my phone either. Sorry about the extra post.

Quick side note: that Fruity Bits Pina ages really well. Tropical notes start to leap out of the glass and dance on the palate even weeks after canning. Cracked a 09/28/17 and I’m (still) loving it.

I thought bloody bits was great. CM medianoche was fantastic Cookies and cream was exceptional. DDH amarillo JB was bangin'. Even beta bits2 was tasty. As far as I am concerned, they are firing on all cylinders right now. DB noche I thought was a bit too sweet but wonderful flavors and crazy smooth.

And despite the Taproom being a complete mad house on Friday and Saturday they seem to be handling it pretty well.

I think I've decided not to post on beers I don't care for anymore. I just feel bad afterwords even though it is my honest opinion.

I know guys like Neil, Ryan and every other brewer work hard at what they do and don't need negative feedback from me. I wouldn't want them to come to my job watch what I do and then get on social media and critique it.

All these guys do a great job and are making incredible beers we are very lucky to live in a state with so many great options. So cheers to them.

Noob to Weldworks, so sorry for the question - I didn't see it mentioned in previous pages. Is there a difference between Medianoche and Medianoche 17 Mo?

The version this year people are calling 17 month, i believe, because it was aged up to 17 months, where they teased us every few months with a single barrel version leading to this release. Prior Medianoche was aged for IDK how long, 10-12 months? It's just the 2017' version.

I’d also go out on a limb and say the recent stout releases have really improved upon their 2016 brews? I feel that’s safe to say, perhaps others feel differently. Hell, it’s probably the same damn thing and my rose-colored lenses are finally strapped on, but seems the depth/richness has kicked up a notch and the adjunct(s) are working really well together - integrating nicely into the beers. Two cents.

Not a cicerone, but I seem to taste a difference between the 7-day-old Fruity Bits and the 31-day-old Bits. Consumed at same relative temperatures, from same glass so not too many variables that could impact the profile. Maybe it’s just me.

It's okay to offer dissenting opinions. We don't' need BA to become an echo-chamber or circle jerk. I also know that how you perceive a beer can change day to day based on many different factors. I'd had beers at home where I feel like something is off, that particular can. Who knows if it's me, or the beer?

I talked to a lot of people about Bloody Bits on Friday and Saturday. From what I heard, the opinions were pretty divisive. I heard a lot of "I like it but..." some people said too fruity, or too tart, one person said too sweet. So who knows? But it's clear to me that the opinions on that beer are varied. I think it looks awesome and tastes great, but it's probably not for everyone. I loved Cookies and Cream, but another person told me it was too sweet for them.

The coconut stout is all killer no filler! I know they're different styles but much better than the ob dbc that has been a great beer for me in the past...

That shit had me rolling though. All I could picture in my head was Randy Marsh drinking infected achromatic yelling "Obama, you promised chaaaaange!".

That Coffee Coconut Stout is probably my favorite non BA stout in the state. I'd put Sad Panda up there with it as well but not quite as good.

Will be in Denver next weekend and looking forward to visiting Weldwerks. Assuming it will be a madhouse on Saturday?
