As the title says, what are some underrated seasonals? Remember, this is all subjective. I'll throw a few out. I'm drinking a Blue Moon Harvest Moon and it is underrated, in my opinion. I say that because while it won't blow your sox off, neither will most other pumpkin beers below around 7% abv. Actually, most pumpkin ales that are lower ABV are not bery good and some are mediocre. This beer is pretty decent and a value purchase with that thought in mind. I feel this beer gets a bad rap due to the ownership that brews it.

Next, Sierra Nevada's Coffee Stout. It has a small cult following that speaks up a good bit. Outside of that, this beer is AMAZING at 6.5%, I believe. This is subjective, but that beer is so well done for what it is. I've had many 9-10% stouts that taste worse.

Lastly, and there are many more, but lastly, Schlafly Christmas Ale. This beer is overshadowed by a famous sibling: Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. Sure, I prefer the pumpkin most of the time and it is a highly routed beer by pumpkin aficionados. Still, the beer screams Christmas and is almost as well put together as the more famous Schlafly seasonal. Christmas spices abound and the base beer is nice. Great for a fireplace, snow, and holiday cheer. BUT, you don't hear much about it.

Chime in people, what are your underrated seasonals?

Red Chair is so damn good. IMO it is right there with SNPA for the gold standard in the style.

Sam Adams Merry Maker Gingerbread Stout. This was last bottled two years ago in bombers, and now is tap only. I am not a fan of gingerbread, but I love this beer. You know how they say a beer is flavored like xxxx but you have to strain to detect xxxx? Not here - big gingerbread taste and nose smack you in the face.

The BA version was incredible. I'm currently building verticles of the regular, I'm only seeing cans this year. I was hoping for bottles, but it'll have to work.

    Narragansett Bock (RIP?)

EDIT: looks like I need to look for Magic Hat for the first time in years. That "Night of the Living Dead" 12 pack looks like their best lineup in years!

Tumbler gets so much (well deserved) "RIP" love but nobody ever reminisces about Glissade golden bock. God damn I miss that beer!
