    Hi guys,

I recently brewed some 5 gal extract batches with a buddy. But I wanna start an all-grain setup to knock out like 10 gal batches every couple weeks. Looking for advice on what all I should get? I also would like to keg as well.

My buddy is starting a food truck full time next Spring and I wanna start kinda small and just provide 4-6 beers on tap for him. Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Sounds like a fun idea but check your local laws VERY carefully before investing in this equipment. It is possible that your friend won't be legally able to sell alcohol from a mobile location and you won't be able to sell what you make without the proper licensing. In many municipalities your license is tied to a physical location and this location can't be just anywhere due to zoning restrictions. So then you are renting or buying space to house your brewery. It can get complicated quick so educate yourself.

Ya I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this wont happen legally.

No offense and thanks for keeping me on my toes but that wasn't my question. I already have check the laws. He's already in the process of licensing. Already has some. I'm not even looking to sell right away either. I'm just looking to knockout batches to perfect my recipes. I already know about laws, licensing, and that it's illegal to sell after a certain quantity here. I also know how many beers I can homebrew legally before I'll need a license here. We have also already looked into locations for the food truck and taproom for renting/buying. I've also already met with our small business association here. all that business side of it is being handled. My target goal to even start selling is next October or maybe even January of 2019. I'm just looking for advice on the best setups for 10 gal batches and kegging at home. or setting this up in a shop that my buddy and I rent.

Thanks for your help guys! Looking forward to chatting more.

Well you will get a lot of opinions here. My set up is for doing ten gallon batches. I have a three tier gravity system that works well for me. very easy to use and maintain. The best part of this is I ferment in five gallon buckets. By pitching two different yeasts you get two different beers. You can also dry hop one and not the other or dry hop with two different hops. Good luck and let the fun begin!
