Fuck. I won’t be able to go until after 3. No way it lasts.

 

limit 3 has me wrongfully thinking I have half a chance if I get up their after work on friday. W/FOBAB and it being veterans day for some, I'm screwed. ISO.

 

I know this is a game not worth playing, but... how early?

I arrived last year and they did a count early on (I think?) and said everyone past a certain point was out of luck. I’d prefer not to make the trip up for nothing, but also don’t want to spend all morning camping out in the cold. I know, I know, it is what it is. But I’d like to bring this to an out-of-town bottle share.

 

They either have a shit load and it will last. Or they screwed everyone with a job with a limit of 3 lol.

 

You have some people in from out of town for FOBAB. Plus it's the observed Veteran's Day and some people are off work. I don't doubt there's a lot more, but I expect a big line

 

Or they have a shitload but don't care about muling and people just cycle the line a bunch that are there at open.

 

God damnit. I despise releases at Half Acre, but Benthic is hard to pass on.

 

Don't they realize Benthic should be their flag ship beer, not Big Hugs? Have the big release day for Benthic and it's variants rather than the big release for the average coffee stout.

 

Yeah, this has been my thought, too. Big Hugs day is a fun concept, and I'm sure the one-off variants are cool (never had 'em), but I genuinely think Benthic is pretty fantastic (Orin is, too), so I agree that that'd be my go-to, as well.

Yeah, that "limit 3" has me assuming that at 11:10 they're going to tell 3/4 of the line "sorry guys, we fucked up, turns out 3 was at least 2 too many for a line this big."

Not me man, not at 25 dollars per, and not right before BCBS and the rest of stout season demolishes me. 2 is plenty for me.

 

Honestly, I'd be happy with 1. Partially because of what @YoDudeguy just mentioned, and partially because I still have 60 or 70% of the BA stuff I hoarded last year.

In all seriousness, respect this of course. Sadly, instances of taking only what you'll consume/want seem more like exception than the rule.

 

I was really hoping it would be the next Friday, as I already need to take at least a half day off on that day. Now I've got to decide if I want to burn another day off for this or not.

I was one of the first 15 or so people last year because I had to be somewhere pretty soon after HA opened...wonder what time I'd have to be there this year to be in the same boat.

 

How long did it take to get through the line last year once it started moving? While I'd love a bottle I've got friends coming in from out of town and probably would rather be drinking with them than standing in line.

Also, are Orin bottles still available at Lincoln ?

 

If they don't have Orin at Lincoln, it's definitely still on shelves around town. For example, I saw it at Bitter Pops last Friday - they had about a case out in the cooler, not sure how much behind that.

 

What time did you get to Half Acre to be one of the first 15 people in line?

 

Does Benthic see distro or just orin?
