Good morning BA, happy Friday! Looking to be an exceptionally cold day over here. Office is closed today to recognize Veterans day, which is actually tomorrow. Will be running a few errands and things today, it's going to be a bitter one. I need to find my gloves and hat for the first time this season.

    Beers this morning:

Fantastic Gose as always. Flavors of tart/sour cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and lightly spicy/tannic fruit finish. Balanced cherry/lacto acidity, salinity, and grainy wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable and refreshing, slightly puckering. One of my all time favorites in the style. Does not feel quite as lactically sour this year, but still fantastic and easier drinking. Grabbed a full case this year, and I drank over a case last year. One of my favorite seasonal beers.

Amazing oktoberfest as always. Awesome head retention and lasting lacing on the glass. Rich flavors of cracker, bread dough, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppery noble hops. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied bready/grainy creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness. Fairly crisp and very refreshing. Perfectly clean lagering, never yeasty. This is pretty much the best I've ever had in marzen style, with Great Lakes being a close 2nd. Also the Sierra Nevada, but that's a festbier technically. Glad we got really fresh 4 packs this year. I feel like I was drinking old bottles last time I had them. These are a lot cleaner tasting.

Excellent IPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuity malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderately increasing resin/rind bitter dryness. Touch of lingering hop astringency, not overwhelming. Very easy drinking. Really impressive mix of dank and vibrant hop complexity. Very tropical and earthy/piney at the same time. Nice pale malt backbone, no residual sweetness. Delicious as expected. Great mix of hops. Mosaic, Citra, Crystal, Apollo, Cascade, and Amarillo. Love the hop bill. Hope it shows up in 6 packs eventually. This was in the mix heroes 12 pack, which I just finally finished off.

My buddy hooked me up with a big personal want yesterday. And to top it off, it's a 2013 vintage. I've already got another beer lined up for my 6000th, so I am cracking and reviewing. This is fantastic! Minimal head retention and lacing as expected. Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, maple syrup, almond, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, dark bread, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, and date; with light notes of marshmallow, licorice, smoke, pepper, and char. Similar aromas, a bit muted, some mild increasing booze. Not overwhelming. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel. Lightly slick, sticky, chalky, and tannic. Some mildly increasing bourbon/tannic oak dryness, no cloying sweetness. Very smooth sipper. Lightly increasing warmth of 18.9%, mild lingering booze on the finish. Bruery stouts always seem to have a class of their own on the flavor profile. Not as deeply roasty or charred on black/roasted malts like some others; but still extremely rich. Got better as it warmed as usual. Really impressive, but not up to expectations for this particular vintage. Look forward to revisiting Chocolate Rain soon. That one blew me away in 2014, one of my top beers. Might seek out a newer vintage of this to compare though. 4.25

    Good morning BA

Love the taste of this mosaic and simcoe hopped APA. Only draw back is there is very little carbonation so little to no head on the beer.

I didn’t realize how much I loved this beer until after they stopped bottling it. Luckily, it still pops up every now and again…

Freaking cold this morning. This warms the insides better than coffee. Tastes better too.

Good morning, BAs! God I love 3 day weekends. And God, do I ever love the Veil. I should be a homer, but they are my #1 favorite brewery. Need to plan another trip down south.

I'm thinking this is a New England IPA (if it is, it's a damn great one), and despite what people like @PatrickCT say, I don't think the whole style is a mistake.
