OH just catered to mules so hard. dhaakon math time. If a mule sells all his glassware/t-shirts at $15 per item and one 4 pack per style at $20 per pack

    4 tekus * $15 = $60
    4 snifters * $15 - $60
    1 t-shirt * $15 = $15
    4 4-packs * $20 = $80

$215 to wait 4 hours in line. Or $133 and 4 4 packs of beer. Not a bad morning.

You know with OH prioritizing marketing gimmicks and money over credibility I could see AB InBev buying them out. I think they've yet to acquire a brewery that cans hazy ipas so it could be a good test to see if they can scale that model.

I dunno if it's true that they're prioritizing marketing gimmicks and money over credibility. The beer should still be quite good.

If you want to see gimmicks over credibility:

Unsurprisingly the math doesn’t remotely check out

    OH’s strategy is brilliant.

OH staffer: “so what do you want?”
Drunk line lyfer after eight hours drinking to stay warm: “ummm, t45, t90, ummm...eff it just max me out on everything”

Checked their taplist online to jog the memory, for sure they had Chimera, All Infinity, Southern, Alt Side, ACE UK, DDH Oh, Blocktober, Everything is Numbers, Short Dark, Forever Simcoe...I think the Simcoe was $12 for 32oz?

BTW everyone against line lyfe got it all wrong- this is still a business opportunity for the locals! Oyster man ain't got a monopoly on the services needed for this affair- bring some buckets, some hot snacks, maybe a space heater and a portable generator and collect those mule monies!

Tomorrow’s releases are all on tap as of now

Only by the glass and “probably” no growlers tomorrow apparently. So cans or bust if you’re not happy drinking the beer in a bar-like setting

I had 4oz of the 10%’er (one with all three) while I waited for a growler fill. Solid but definitely not worthy of frostbite. Maybe the single hop type variants are worth a couple toes but didn’t have time to try

    that new hotness.

I still believe I'll be able to time it right and get cans around 11:45 tomorrow with minimal line.

    Tonight Nov 10

"Oyster lovers! At 5pm tonight, our good friends at Island Creek Oysters are helping us raise money for Waves For Water . This is a special charity for us as they focus on providing clean drinking water solutions for people in need globally. We are donating 100% of the proceeds to their campaign focusing on the Caribbean islands impacted by Hurricane Maria with a special focus on our brother and sisters in Puerto Rico. Island Creek is donating over 1000 oysters for tonight’s event so we won’t run out! We have $1 oysters on the half shell, $3 oyster shooters and $5 gets you a shooter and a can of our Helles lager. Come and join us!"

I genuinely feel bad seeing people lose cans, usually a result of those shifty brown bags OH gives out. That said, what a sight it would be to see someone face plant and shatter their already razzled off glassware as they sprint after the tow truck

Drinking all 4 now, thanks for the heads up. They’re all incredibly boozy, could use some time, and I can’t do this oat thing. Finished one taster and they’re so heavy.
