    An imperial stout (12% abv) featuring pasilla chili, honey, tangerine peel, and cocoa nibs... Brewed by Dorchester Brewing in Boston, and inspired (presumably) by a dessert prepared by Noma Mexico, a pop-up (meaning, temporary) restaurant that was open from April 12th - May 28th of this year in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico...

    Pretty good stuff - the cocoa nibs kinda meld into the typical stout flavor presentation, but there is a definite tangerine/orange flavor in it from the peels, and the honey impressions seemed tied to that... Not familiar with pasilla chili, but they are either very mild or used in very small amounts as I didn't get any heat or tingle... Toward the finish, and as the beer had warmed, I was vaguely aware of something almost cinnamon-like in the mix. Bittersweet and mild, the body is fairly slim, smooth and slick with a bit of stickiness...

    Interesting and enjoyable...

    It's Friday. I hereby deem that every Friday I will have a Narwhal. I managed to get two cases and I still have a couple six-packs beyond that. I should be able to have a Narwhal a week until next year's release.

    I've been drinking red wine all evening, then a Creme Sherry in the jacuzzi, so now a night cap (it's after 11pm) with my new favorite DIPA/Strong Belgian/Whatever - Imperial Bastard - 100 IBUs, 9.5%:
