CANBIF, fall 2017.

Back in my day.... in my first CANBIF a few years ago, we used 12 bottle shippers for 11 bottles and 1 piece of merch. Kids these days are putting 16 bottles and a growler into 12 bottle shippers!

Hit 6 breweries yesterday and today to fill out the box. Need to make one more stop (or maybe two) to get it finished.

Likely shipping on Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

Geez. A busy past week kept me distracted. I will be getting my box ready for mailing before the week is over...

My box will be full of the newfound goodness of Manitoba breweries (we now have double digits!) and maybe a few goodies from down south too.

 

Finally got the shopping done for the shipping.

A bit of a challenge as the likes of the target are more spring-style beers. But, I recall the word hoppy so that gave me a bit of a leeway.

The only thing left to do is to write the destination and slap it on the box.

The box should be going out tomorrow heading west of me.

 

oh my... I've been busy then out of town for this month so far... thus haven't had a chance to post... I have been amassing beers for my target... so I hope they'll be content =)

If my sender has yet to have sent my box, then all I can say is I'm after any beers I have not had =)

I am in Chicago for the long weekend but confirming that a box from “Matieshin Fine Foods & Oils” has been received on my behalf. Something to look forward to when I get home! Should have an update either tomorrow night or Tuesday!

Got home today and cracked open a huuuuge box, full of awesome beers, none of which I've had before. Already have a few in the fridge for this evening. Really looking forward to all of the bellwoods and the bright as well! A perfect combo of IPAs, stouts and a few sours. Huge thanks to my sender!!

Some nice packing skills there!

 

Shopping for my target was finished this weekend and this 34 pounds box will be leaving today after work. Here's a little breakdown of what he will find in it:

- 9 hoppy beers
- 5 barrel aged beers
- 4 Canadian top 100
- 2 BA top 250
- Sour beers: absolutely none

The box is going west to someone who should'nt be shocked. Hope you'll enjoy!

Package is out for delivery as of 10am in a city whose current temperature is around 10 degrees. And whose forecast is very rainy.

 

Two updates...

1. I finally got my box to Canada Post yesterday. Final total is 18 different beers, all Alberta brewed but 1. It is headed to east and will hopefully land before end of the week.

2. In a stroke of luck, I didn't have to work today so I was able to welcome a lovely box from New Brunswick this morning. Thank you @CurtisD - pictures to follow!
