When someone goes in an establishment and asks for taste after taste of draught beers(5+) and buys one, but rates all on Untapped. And the last instance I'm thinking of the douche bashed all the beers he tried. How can you even judge a beer by what?, an ounce?

Grocery stores are temp controlled due to perishables so i don't worry about beer on the shelf/floor there, but at some of these beer stores that keep their front doors open in the summer, it needs to be in the cooler.

I have a policy that I won't review a beer unless it is at least 4 ounces, and beerfests don't count at all since there is such a tongue and brain mashup, in addition to small pours.

What is really annoying is an otherwise top-notch craft store where they have window shades, but they're left open, allowing light to strike clear bottles.

When I'm in a beer store on travel and find several beers that I'd love to try, but the store doesn't sell singles, and I really don't plan to buy several 6 packs for many reasons.

Every new release is amazing and the best beer out there........I guess its follow the leader.

I find most to be good but not great. I now stick with proven low $ beers. My wallet thnks me every day.

    Enjoy

People who wait in line for several minutes and when they get to the front have NO IDEA what they want.

People who let their little kids run rampant in the store. I tell them to please be careful there's lots of glass here and the parents look at me like I'm trying to ****** the development of their free range crotch fruit snow flakes.

I was at Bar Louie (a chain) and they have 15-20 craft taps, which is cool, but the draft beer list provided was literally a page long list of "<Insert Brewery Name> Seasonal". Worthless. The server had to keep a handwritten list with her to constantly refer to, and even her list was incomplete. I had to go out on my own to figure out what beers I wanted to order, and no surprise, but most of the "seasonals" weren't seasonal beers. I felt bad for the server that her managers were too lazy to even attempt to have a current beer list to help her.

FYI, for places without useful tap lists, sometimes looking at recent Untappd check-ins for the place is easier... of course, this assumes one uses the Untappd app and the place is frequented by other Untappd users.

Celebrities telling me to drink Bud Light. You have all that money, you don't drink bud light. Almost as bad as Shaq saying those Buicks are roomy.

Hmmm, just go to the store like I do? No growlers or beer release lines for me.

How nasty the beer community can be to each other.

I get it ,every hobby has its rotten eggs, but that is no excuse for some of the venom I see thrown around.

Beer is awesome. Be excellent to each other.

I agree there, my store sits at around 60 degrees inside, so nothing ever gets too warm. But people can get crazy with the temperature fluctuations. Worried about getting beer off the shelf and getting it cold, as if beer isn't cold when it's carbed and packaged.

How snobby many consumers in "the craft beer scene" have gotten in the past few years. There are many times I'd rather drink macro's and shoot the breeze with a bunch of randoms at a bar than listen to all the pretentious, self-entitled drivel that comes from people's mouths (about what other people should put into their mouths) at many a brewpub or "craft" event.

Beer is being used as something exclusive, rather than inclusive. Simply put, many times it's being used by "craft consumers" to exclude others, rather than include them.

Respect Beer? How about Respect People First? Then drink what you want/like and don't be dick about it.

Not sure that this fits the definition of a pet peeve. Seems to go far beyond a minor annoyance. I do agree with the last part though.

Try this on for size.. I was traveling through Arizona and we stopped at a Casino last week. I too, dont trust a tap list or the memory of a server who may remember 5 of the 15 taps. So I too scanned the area and saw a SA Octoberfest tap handle? Awesome, my fathers favorite style of beer, and I knew it was 1-2 months out of season almost, so this felt like a nice score.. We were informed that the beer was their Winter Fest lager. Tap handle hadn't changed I guess? And you wonder why SA is losing market share. Hire people who care and you won't have this problem.

Moral of the story.. Even tap handles can be wrong. It's why i'm pretty much a 90% home drinker

Looks like this thread got resurrected. I will offer that since I wrote this post two point five years ago our local Applebee's finally got on board and now offers Lagunitas and the local Four Mile. Took 'em long enough...
