Hit up SlowBoat Brewing in Beijing this evening. Having the Sea Anchor Vanilla Imperial Stout. 8%abv, somewhat hot, silky vanilla sweetness to it. It’s a decent stout and the vanilla really shines. More to come this week from the likes of Great Leap, Boxing Cat and Jing-A Brewing.

Good morning BAs! We had a hard frost last night but no snow yet - just tons of leaves so it's time to burn again. Today's New Breakfast Beer, courtesy of @Dragginballs76 and NBS BIF #6:



A decent session IPA, and the can label is different on the other side. Burial has some great labels and David Paul Seymour is a great illustrator.

 

Morning and afternoon chores done, it's new IPA #psychoartwednesday time! Menos Lobos Brewing & Co., Lanjaron (Granada) - "Bohemian IPA":



Lemongrass and tropical fruit nose and tongue. Flavours of pineapple, mango, and lemons. Bitter lemon rind on the backend and in the linger. Hops = Chinook, Citra, Centennial, Mandarina Bavaria, and Mosaic. Beautiful to look at, and at 6.5% and 58IBUs, a zippy lite bodied flavourful IPA. Well done!

Now the artwork is another story...



She is holding a large bloody, sharp edged tool. My Spanish is not so "hot so", but my translation is "I showed no mercy, mom." A brewer on the edge making a great IPA for these parts whatever it means - Cheers beer and art lovers alike!

Heard this on the way home from dropping off Jr at school. Was the audition announcement something like "must sound like we're in a tribute to my father's band"? Just curious.

Up on the top patio at the olive farm with another new to me brew - "Sacromonte 1598":



Lite cloves nose and taste. Another Spanish pale ale that drinks like a wimpy Belgian Blonde. I'm gonna make myself a gin and tonic, and start the fires up before nightfall... Cheers from Iznajar!

Why not post pics with a beer in your glass? Instead of an empty glass and a can/bottle.

 

I'm known to do this occasionally. I usually take the photo pre-pour as I want to enjoy the whole process without being distracted by having to take a photo, worrying about head retention, glass wall bubbles, etc. I know folks want to see the beer itself too, but I have a fetish with beer labels/designs so I make them the main subject of my photos.
