Backseat Berner Boilover Issues

    Just had the third bottle of Backseat Berner from Otter Creek boil out of the bottle as soon as I opened it. Anyone else having this problem? Thought about emailing them. One, and I'd chalk it up to a loss. Three? That's a lot of beer on the countertop.

    I'd email them right away. Either they over-carbed the beer, or bottled it before fermentation was complete, or it's infected (is there a super tart/stinging in the mouth?). Regardless of which reason, there is a potential risk of exploding bottles that the brewery needs to know about.

    I sent an email last night with the Julian code and a code below that. I'm a loyal Otter Creek drinker, I'm not complaining but it was a bummer to lose three beers.

    I would stop heating the bottles to over 200 degrees, for one.

    A little of topic but since there’s a thread on this....I gotta say, the Otter Creek mixed 12 pack is easily the best mixed 12 I’ve had, especially with the new coffee stout that was just added. Such a great set of “weekday” beers and easy on the wallet! I just moved to NE and have been buying them weekly.
