Maybe it doesn’t happen today, or tomorrow, but it will happen. And my issue wasn’t with the bottle pick up, it was more with me wanting to order some tasters and it taking 20 mins, which is why I️ just got my bottle and left. And my issue was with the service of the staff, and that will kill a restaurant.
Also, Abnormal isn’t making a living off these small batch bottle releases, they probably only grossed $10,000 a barrel and maybe it cost them $2500 a barrel to make and took 2years? Yeah, their margin was great, but it isn’t gonna pay the bills.

dont use paypal. I tried the paypal route and got put into a line, then by the time i went thru the paypal prompts it brought me back to my cart and it was sold out.

I have yet to have any issues using them. Perhaps each transaction is different. I can only guess.

The Cork and Craft is attached to the wine license so it cannot sell beer to go. That's why you have to either go to the back or meet a bartender in the event space which has a dual license. It's not a matter of who gives you the beer, it's where the beer transferred hands.

$9,100 in revenue and less than $1K to make each barrel which has a profit margin of about what they make on a Friday. There are a lot of other factors that went into the final price. Sucks that your experience wasn't great. It's not a surprise honestly, the restaurant manager hates bottle releases and refuses to plan accordingly.

That is a shame, it was my first time there and I wanted to grab some tasters until I had to wait forever. You would think a manager would like bottle releases because it drives traffic, which will likely drive revenue. I guess my rough numbers were pretty close on a net basis, seeing as I knew nothing but a rough bottle amount and price, I assumed the cost of the barrels would be a lot higher, since they were pappy barrels.
    Thanks for the response!

Yeah you would think the restaurant would welcome the business but they see it as a getting in the way of the restaurant goers. The Pappy barrels were not expensive at all. It was more of a connection thing rather than the willingness to spend a lot. If these barrels were readily available you would see them get bought up by all the big breweries.

They shouldn't see it as getting in the way of the restaurant goers when they're forcing separate pickups 4 weeks in a row.
