Black Note released today

In my little city of Lafayette Indiana most of the liquer stores got shut out this year...... but Meijer had tons. They said limit 2 per customer, but I didn't get stopped until walking in for my fifth trip. I will settle for 8 bottles. Better than I did on Black Note.

 

Sounds like you are proud of this???? I'm sure the othe craft beer enthusiasts in Lafayette appreciate your performance.

 

If we all liked the same stuff, it would be boring. I personally think BCBS is in a way higher class than BN, but could see a different palate thinking otherwise. Despite both being non-adjunct BA stouts, I see them very differently.

 

Couldn't agree more with this. It's too bad more people do not.

 

Am I happy I got more than a couple bottles.... yep. Do I think I hurt anybody.... nope.

 

Found 4 packs for sale when I stopped at a random beer/convenience store in Lansing. I was quite surprised.

I think the store was called Oades. Didn’t buy any as I live near the brewery, but I thought it would sell out quicker than it has.

 

Anyone in the area of Battle Creek can get 8 four-packs if you want to stop by Horrock's. I think they were $24.99 plus tax and dep.

 

If anyone is in the hillsdale or summerset areas places have plenty of 4 packs left

Does anyone know the status of Whiskey Barrel Aged Cherry Stout? Will this be making it into distribution?

 

Not sure but Bells just posted last night that they have a lot of it in the coolers at the General Store.
I love having this much production coming from Bells/Founders

Haha mine is not either, saw Black Note at Sunny Mart & almost pulled the trigger as a reflex then remembered that I have plenty at home

 

Man, I’ve been feeling this a lot lately. I think the folks that have been around for awhile remember when moments like these were insanely rare. Especially with something like BN. Our gut reaction is to grab what we can. But, I constantly remind myself I don’t need a ton of it all. There’ll be something just as good next week. We truly are living in an age with remarkable offerings week after week.

 

I almost bought more CBS last week, it was just sitting there, priced at $24.99. Apparently the owner doesn't use Facebook so the only people buying it are his regulars.

 

Are we still seeing 4pks of Black Note on the shelf along 94 taking my daughter back to Eastern today and all we had were singles in Macomb County.

I found a bunch of singles sitting around boyne city on a recent trip to visit family.

 

Long gone in Macomb County managed to get two singles after drinking the 2017 with a 2016, I need to find more 2017.

 

Not along 94 but it is still popping up every now and then. My local Meijer (Howell) put I'm guessing in the neighborhood of 8-10 cases of 4-packs on the shelf in December. Its gone now though.
