I get that, I just feel the process is wrong

 

Anyone else think this shit sucks? Drinking 16 and 17 regs side by side. The 17 is thinner and noticeably less flavorful.

Haha, Binny's comment blog! 1,000+ that got full allotments and went home with two Props are very happy. 500 that got shutout are not. Thus, majority are happy, so no changes except for a few trash cans next year.

I had '16 regular yesterday and like most BA stouts, I thought it was considerably better a year later (it was outstanding). 2017 will do the same thing. Point, comparing a fresh BA stout to one with a year on it isn't exactly comparing apples to apples.

 

Ok cool. I really loved the vanilla in 16 and was kind if disappointed I didn't see it in the 17. My palate might have been fried though.

 

Now I understand. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned more today. I think amongst so many different insanities I kinda blacked this part about the day out. The trucks coming out of the scrap yard were right on us at times. Would have to move the whole line over. That whole stretch was just brutal.

 

LP aside, sounds like everyone had a good day. got off work and stopped by forbidden root and noon whistle for their releases. still grabbed 4 regular and 2 barley at the LGP jewel. damnnn good day.

bcbs is tasting great this year. noticeable improvement from 16 imo. i need to do a side by side with 15 at some point.

I saw Quinn the brewer's FB live video and he said #1 got there at 09:15 on Thursday morning. People that said they got there at 1:15 in the afternoon were at least 50 deep, one guy came from Brazil. I say it every year, but those people need to seriously re-evaluate their life choices!

 

I find that ‘17 lacks the tartness that I love about ‘15.

Was there any other binnys location that deviated from the published allocation or was bloomingdale the only one?

 

My wife and I arrived at our local Binny's at 5am. We each scored full allotments (1x Reserve, 1x Prop, 1x Northwoods, 1x Coffee, 2x Barley Wine, 4x Regular). We were in our car by 9:05. Drove to Mariano's just down the street and each picked up 1x Reg and 1x Barley Wine. Then to Costco for 4x Regular.

Mom & Pop store near us still had half a case of Reserve left as of last night at 7pm. Still stuff around. Happy hunting!

 

I had a 2016 yesterday which was awesome.

Just because it is listed on Craig’s List doesn’t mean it’s actually selling at those prices. Plus supply and demand isn’t all that should go in to setting pricing. Jacking prices in the manner being proposed is a good way to drive away customers and kill the hype that exists for your product.

 

Orland Jewel had a great share. Went through the line twice, ended up with 2 prop, 5 coffee, 1 northwoods, 1 reserve, bunch of reg and bw. They were letting people get cases of reg/bw after line went through once. Good day.

 

Which side did you line up, east or west entrance? I was there when no one was there but decided to go to LP. Big mistake!
