I'm blue collar working class with real bills to pay. No kids, so not a factor. My beer budget is around $40 per week. Keep in mind, depending on how I spend that $40 on what is on sale, High ABV, etc. Determines how much I drink(daily drinker, save the comments I've been at this game awhile and I get it. ) Anyway. I don't necessarily spend $40/week every week It usually depends on the factors above. Some nights might be SN Torpedoes, some might be a $4 big beer with inexpensive stouts from a mix pack. Interested to see how others stretch their budget. I understand Bud is $20 a 30 but after twenty years of that stuff I just can't go back to AALs. Anyway, my craft budget works, how about you?

I don't really have a budget, but I average less than $30 per week. I tend to buy more than I drink, so my cellar has grown too much. Today was an anomaly, since it was BCBS release day I ended up spending about $200.

No budget, but if I had to guess, per week on average, $15-20? If that. We may hit up a store once every few weeks.

Since I homebrew, we are typically drinking one of my four beers on tap most of the time, so we don't buy as much at the store as we used to. And my typical cost for a 5-gallon batch of beer is somewhere around $25-30... Or around 50cents per glass or so.

It’s becoming rarer and rarer that I consume beers anywhere other than my home so if I see something I want then I buy it. I’d say $50/week is pretty average but there have also been weeks it’s been in the hundreds with beer clubs or allocation releases. Fall and Winter definitely seem to be more expensive with the higher ABV beers typically getting released.

I try to stay at under $1 a beer. I have done that this year so far but getting a bit off track recently. I always buy Hamms 30 packs to offset. Been lucky to find many great beers on sale at under $30 and even under $25 a case. I don't chase beer or have to have the popular beer of the day. I drink only at home , very very rare to go out, all I think is " I could have had a six pack for this one beer". Last big purchase was hi west case last year. I found a place that does $11 mix six and I only buy there when I can grab 6 16 oz cans of good beer. Just picked up shape of hopsx2, vault 5c x2 and vault rye pale x2. A four pack of vault is $14 so $11 is great. I grab beer out of state when I'm there( better prices). I average 2.4 beers a day over the last few years. That's not a ton of $.

Money is tight and I have more important things to spend on right now. Still clearing the cellar out as well.

    Enjoy

Don't have a budget. There are prices I will not pay depending upon how much I really want it. Debt free, retired w adequate reserves makes it easy when I really want something. My beer consumption level on a daily basis is pretty low also. Maybe because I like my rye whiskey and red wine as well.

$60 per week on average, sadly, and thats craft, bump it up when i buy bombers which is only rarely now. When I quit drinking last Year, i still put aside $60 each week and holy shit it added up quick and I was amazed at the bulging envelope of beer money I saved.. This little hobby/addiction is ridiculously expensive. I'm going to go on another sober streak soon and I'll try the same plan of cash hoarding.

I'd be embarrassed and disenchanted if I really thought about it truthfully. But I would say I average one solid craft bottle or a couple of cans a day. Plus or minus. You figure even on the low side at $5-$8 a can or $15-$20 a bottle, it adds up frighteningly quick. Plus if you factor in the time trading, shipping, packing, unpacking, researching releases, etc. To think I used to tease people who bought $5 lattes every day. I'd guess it's easily a few hundred a month.

When I got into craft two years ago, I made it a point not to buy craft with the wife in tow, because I didn't want to have her realize how expensive it is. It's not like we can't afford it, but it can shock you if you grew up with macro drinkers and had an idea that beers should cost well under $1 ea.

This past summer, I had an opportunity to visit a phenomenal craft store in Hudson, WI but since we were on a trip, I could hardly ask her to wait in the car for an hour. I was surprised that she actually helped me spot a few beers I was looking for, and never said a word on the cost. She has come along on a couple other shopping trips. I think she realizes it's a cheaper hobby than hunting or golf.

I don't sacrifice quality because I'm not into craft to drink just anything. When we go out to dinner, I always ask what's on tap but frequently can't find something good that I want, and will just have a diet Coke.

I need one of those. I buy mostly IPA 4-packs, which end up running 4-6$ per can, which in itself wouldn't be too bad, but I tend to also buy a lot of beers and give them away because I get excited about sharing...

As I have gotten older, personal consumption/ less intake limits me far more than budget.

I bet half of what I purchase is shared.

Don't really budget as I'm not a heavy drinker. I pick up what/when I want if something strikes my fancy.

I do drink outside the home - last night I spent it enjoying fresh Two Stall from Ahnapee. A brewery 10 miles from home in a pub 4 blocks from home. I had 3 of those and a Dubious Ruffian from Badger State. Tipped the bartender 12 bucks and walked home. So it was a 30 dollar night give or take but that's much more the exception than the rule.

Obviously since I got seriously into craft two years ago when joining BA, I spent quite some money.

In about two years I have tried ~200 new beers, mostly (expensive) American craft that I purchased from European beer webshop.

Since a couple months, I reduced my consumption. I still go for my regular and cheap Leffe, Duvel, Chouffe and so forth.

To answer your question, I spend no more than ~25€ on beers per week or $30.

I don't have a budget. I visit my local beer store each week and spend $50-75 when I'm there.

I don't typically budget but I also don't think I drink enough to need one. I may spend $50+ one week on beer then nothing for the next week because I'm still drinking what I previously bought. I have however shifted to drinking more at home as opposed to going out because bars typically have a worse selection than bottle shops and at higher prices it doesn't usually seem worth it to me anymore.

Hard to say, I tend to get in a mood and buy a few different types at a time, then go without buying for maybe a couple of weeks. If I had to guess, I'd say most of the year is about $20-25 a week, while winter leans more like $35 a week due to higher priced stouts, etc.

i don't really have a set amount. I just pay my bills, throw a bunch extra at my student loans, save some invest some and whatever is left I spend on things I enjoy which includes beer. Sometimes it can be as little as 25-30 a month, I do have a cellar so I can still drink well on that for a while, other times it's a few hundred. It just depends on what's released. Winter is much more expensive for me. It's easy to stretch out a beer budget, there are several solid options for under $10 a six pack that I'm more than happy to drink regularly.

I wish I could afford up to 40 a week. But it's more like 80 a month if not a little more. I have a job that I love but I have kids and multiple bills to pay every month including that awful student loan for being an out-of-state student.

I focus my spending on the must have's, mainly that is beers I have never tried before.

I don't have a budget, and it's not because I'm money bags. For example, I spent ~$200 yesterday and this morning on Bourbon County. But many weeks I'll just buy one or two six packs.
